It actually was the ice storm of 2021! I couldn’t remember if it was that far back! It was gnarly!
Think I remember hearing about that. Just recently there was a 100 car pileup in Michigan, I think. What a horrible mess.Couple years back when we had a freeze the night it all started to go to hell we had snow overnight and it got melted next day and following night the temps dropped so quickly that I-35 froze so quickly we had like 130 car pileup! It was crazy!
They are too lax on peoples requirements before getting a drivers license! I remember going to drivers ed at Sears and even though we had none to practice on they definitely taught you what to do if u hit ice (same as hydroplaning in the rain) but u see idiots start to slide and immediately jam on their brakes and make shit worse vs letting off gas and steering into the slide til the tires catch! All these vehicles u see everywhere with the “student driver” bumper stickers is who i blame for all the shitty drivers! Should be a stranger teaching the skills if u ask me!People that don’t regularly drive on snow and ice forget that inertia exists…..![]()

Ya in that video u can see semis coming in going the speed limit and then just mashing into the pile going full speed! How vehicles got stacked on other vehicles! Only thing that scares me driving on snow or ice is the other drivers who aren’t as practiced! I used to go to Michigan every year for summer and Christmas so i got used to driving on that stuff basically soon as i had a license!Think I remember hearing about that. Yeah I cannot imagine being in the front part of that mess.... just waiting to die.Ya in that video u can see semis coming in going the speed limit and then just mashing into the pile going full speed! I will sleep well tonight knowing that at worst I will freeze to death before the end of next week. Beats getting crushed by a semi, I guess
