So, this "naughty step" is some sort of probation if you break the site rules or something? Just curious :) At least they're not totally ban hammer trigger happy here lol, I mention that because whenever my Google research lands me browsing over at grass city or 420 mag, almost everyone has been banned lol. I mean old timers with thousands of posts and contributions lol. It's like they got a few new young mods and they just went through banning everyone who's been there forever lol! It doesn't look very nice, from an outside perspective over there.

...ha bloody ha! "Swivel" I`ll bring you a bacon sarnie (with `special` sauce!) in the morning mate (I`ll be using smoked bacon, so it may be a bit salty!) :brow:

Yeah, they are pretty good around here about a slap on the wrist before they quick us out. I think I am on my 4th or 5th user name since coming to AFN, lol.

I found that on those others, including icmag, especially gc, and 420 mag, it's a majority of trash talking and reciting the old myths and old wives tales as facts. Y'all know I love experiments and trying the old crazy tricks just for the sake of trying them... Good grief I'm even trying the stupid nails through the stalk idea lol, But these need to come with disclaimers and open to argument :) Not spread around more as bad fact :p
 
Krug and I are just carrying on guys, if we were really having a go I would handle it in PMs. Unfortunately I have been "so called" friends with him IRL so just cutting up for the most part. But what I said about "so called" friends still stands.

To me, and I am a member at several of the other forums, the difference is the quality of information you have here coupled with the willingness for people to help you with problems. Not just grow problems but even problems in daily life. Medical problems, attitude problems, family problems. Admin, Supers, Mods, they all care about how you are doing as a canna grower as well as your mental and physical health. I know this from first hand experience. If you are an absolute dick that is one thing and it will probably get you a little time out and then a ban but for most of us, they understand everyone has a bad day or week and will try to work through problems with you. Plus the members here are a lot more friendly! How many welcomes does the new member get at the other forums, maybe one or two if they are lucky, then they are ignored for the most part.
 
Agreed, it is very rare to find what I found here: people who genuinely care! Not only about helping to grow good medicine successfully, but about general well being too :)
 
Yah man I don't even bother with other forums, the vibe is nowhere near as good as it is here.
