...Cool..sadly,future generations will not experience the cracks and pops that made analog music so unique !! i have 45's,33's, and 78's in my collection..I had an 8 track one time of Johnny Cash but luckily i was too young for that era and media !! Cheers

HAHA!! I still get a little weirded out for a second when I listen to "Styx I" and it doesn't fade out when I expect it to from when I almost wore out the 8 track someone gave me as a kid. It was one of those really fun ones that the track change for the player came in the middle of a song, so the song would fade out, track would click to the next and the song would fade back in and continue. Kind of like another not quite as old (or quite as widely used) blast from the tech past....having to turn the movie over half way through watching the laser disk. :headbang:

You are so right @Ozone69 I do remember the 8tracks doing that( barely but I do remember) .and I definitely remember the laser discs ,ya know, they're called the good ole days for a reason!!!Some things didn't need to change just for the sake of change!!

When I saw CD's on the tv, I said quite vocally, "they will never catch on." I was gonna wait for the Minidisk revolution. It never happened.
Now, I will never probably hold a piece of new music in my hands, ever again. Sad.

I used to love going to the record store and flick through the records......ahhhh.....those were the days.....showing my age......etc....eP.

wow, the record store, major entertainment for us tiny terrorists, until we got our asses kick out, lol, on to the next covert action.

In my area it was a record store in the front ,head shop in the back, still is just cd's now...anybody remember the bottles of "rush" with the power pellet, how bout 20/20s or white crosses, they used to be "one stop" shopping!! This was also the days when a bong had a carburetor hole on the side and you werent allowed to use the word "bong"
