Lesson One

I read when u first start to meditate u should count the inhale and exhale of the deep breaths your taking from 1-10 and if u have a thought address it and then go back to counting until u can focus on just your breathing or something....is that true or can u sit and think about whatever u want? is the point to relax in your thoughts or have a completely free mind where your not really thinking just sitting it a state of zen? lol serious question to anyone who knows about meditating :Sharing One:

Make your commitment
I am sitting here to meditate
Theres nothing else I have to do or think about for the next 30 minutes
If there is, go and do it or think about it - then return and start again.
i know that any thought or restlessness that may occur in me is utterly false and comes from my mind. I am sitting here to meditate. Take your seat on a firm chair ( you don't want to fall asleep) Sit upright. Keep the skeleton upright. Let the flesh fall/relax.
Close the eyes and breathe out until all the air is gone.
Breathe in slowly and gently fill yourself with air.
Breathe out until you are empty.
Take 3 more of these deep breathes DEEPLY, SLOWLY, EVENLY.
Now let the body breathe naturally. BE STILL.
A thought comes in.
you're starting to think about something.
Observe yourself, Thinking is mechanical.
Catch the thought ( sometimes you catch the thought 3 minutes into its thing)
And breathe out, as if to breathe the thought away from you.
BREATHE THOUGHTS OUT

You will think about all manner of things - for example a car alarm goes off somewhere outside.
Your mind immediately starts to think about your car insurance, the bulb that needs changing in your dashboard. Whether your credit will pass muster for those new wheels you have been planning to get. That leads to you thinking about your credit limit on your credit cards and bla bla bla bla, hopefully you get my drift.
The trick is to work back from when you catch the train of thought and track it back to where it started and even the trigger (the car alarm)
This all takes time and consistency on your part.
The moment you are able to catch the thought before the mind takes over and runs away with any trigger/stimulus, you are well on your way to mastering the mind, which is what meditation is essentially about.

Meditating while baked does not count as a Stupor is not the same as meditating. :smoke:

I'm with you, my fat fingers were never able to roll a great joint, got a Zed roller and they come out almost perfect after learning how much to put in. Of coarse now that we vape things are even simpler!
 
Man I just heard about this vape business few days ago, got myself one.. And ... Wooooo I call my weed the creeper... Cos damn it creeps up on you. You hitting if like... Damn this ain't doing shit... Then you hit it again and again.. Next thing you know is your pupils get 100 per cent heavier .. Crazy eyes mang...
 
I use to teach meditation in a Prison.

Meditation is to simply become single point focused. You can focus on the in and out breath, you can watch a candle flicker, you can just do about anything you want that creates a single focus for you. If you have trouble getting your mind to focus on one thing, try chanting. You find a simple chant, and repeat it over and over for the duration. Your mind will probably wander doing that as well but it helps.

When your mind wanders, which it will, just simply acknowledge it and let it pass and return to your concentration. Meditation is simply doing nothing, but it is the most difficult nothing you will ever do.

Yeah, it is so mild compared to smoking it doesn't seem like you are getting anything until you're like "I can't feel my legs anymore"
 
I'm all caught up and now forget what I'm supposed to do...

I have my beard...tincture...rollies...
A roller is the only way to go. I have 2 sizes...it's fun to try different papers and they come out perfect every time.
