You wouldn't believe what you can get Free here on old discarded plots..this is the new dog walk...
I found 5 fig trees..I've been having brekkie on the hoof for weeks..fresh figs....mmm...mmm...mmm...

This is the Best one I have found..middle background of the photo. Gotta be 20 x 20 ft..400 yards off the pathway..and the figs have just been left to dry on it..next year..that is Mine......I'm going to Adopt it...
I might still lift the drying figs that are one..I tried one yesterday..tasted exactly like fig roll filling..

3 big healthy Olive trees for me olive leaf med capsules.....

There is another big fig tree behind them too..

a load of 20 ft tall garden canes to chop down if I want them for the tomatoes....

and now me Dragon Fruit..:dunno:..what more can I ask for...?

See that dying flower on the left of the photo..that is where the fruit is going to from....I'll be Watching....

wow a veritable cornucopia of wild forage , your one lucky guy having that on your doorstep.
Interesting fact about figs, they can only be pollinated by a very miniscule wasp called a "fig wasp". If you look at the bottom of a fig there is a tiny hole where the wasp enters and pollinate the fruit from the inside.
When a female wasp dies inside an edible fig, an enzyme in the fig
called ficin breaks down her carcass into protein. The fig basically digests the dead insect, making it a part of the resulting ripened fruit. The crunchy bits in figs are seeds, not anatomical parts of a wasp.
