Sad to hear Antropolis never nice when you loose seedlings.

Sphagnum peat moss has a PH of around about 4.5 which is quite acidic and needs to be sweetened with lime to raise the PH.

You as you mentioned would have been better going for a jiffy or some other seed compost made for the job of giving seedling what they want.

Interesting fact anything that goes in to a peat bog effectively gets pickled, there was a case of a body being found in one in Ireland and a murder investigation was opened. It was later discovered the body had been there for hundreds of years but had been so well preserved the police though it was a recent death. The Irish also use to throw oak logs in to the peat bogs which preserved them and effectively petrifies them , making the wood as hard as steel.

Its ok AFN, b16guy is a pro! Ive been down at this Hotel since saterday . Hard rockin roll hotel sends me free rooms in the mail from time to time so i had a 2 night room with jacuzzi tub hello B16girl ! i also had a 100 dollars free play. I also bought the bank with cash man! I blew almost 1000 but came home with over 800 in winnings not bad for a hard party weekend! O I also had a comp for the buffett! I swear I didnt stick my finger in the chocolate fountian!

Yeah Arty Zan, I just figured the Premier (makers of Pro Mix) would have theirs washed well enough, but that was probably the fatal error. I didn't bother doing a slush ph test on it because I just figured it was fine. Oops! Lol Will be testing it today. Have the lime if needed.
