Got to love cheesy beans on toast

Cheese (got to be strong cheddar, no doubt, currently using Lye cross farm extra mature made in Somerset, try this it is awesome)
Beans Heinz
Local Butter
Bread local bakery granary
HP sauce

Don't skimp and use inferior ingredients ie slice white bread, budget beans, marg & cheapo brown sauce (this is my preference use what you like, if you like it).

If your live in the US here is a link for HP sauce (which stands for "Houses of Parliament" Sauce)

http://www.ukgoods.com/british-engl.../hp-sauce-255g-9oz-for-3-75.html#.VBMsTvldXEU

Not sure what supplies of cheddar are like in the US but cracker barrel will be ok

Heinz baked bean available every where? if not buy em on the net.

We can get HP & Irish cheddar at any good grocery store although I prefer some 7 year aged Wisconsin. The Heinz, I don't think there is a civilized country in the world where those can't be had.

I may have to try this about an hour before bed, for sure on the nights when the wife has a headache. ;)

May I offer a slight variation on the CheesyBeans issue. Much as I love HP Brown sauce, a very scrummy alternative is,

I like beans, I like toast, I love cheese, and Worcestershire yum...why hasn't my muchie ridden brain figured out that one before now? :slaps:

:peace:

Worked at an Irish pub here in the States, and saw Britons will drown anything and everything in that HP sauce hehe! Also, it was the not-so-secret ingredient in our Bloody
Mary drinks :p

Hp on a bacon butty!
Smoked and grilled to a crisp preferably butcher grade with cracklin rind and thin white bread. Lurpak will do then a cup of tea, its always coffee for me but coffee an hp dont mix!

Did you ever come across (no pun intended) Chef Sauce. It is the only thing to have with the staple Irish food of "Spuds Bacon & Cabbage"

Maffro, oh yes, it has to be Tea. Coffee has a sacred place, but with a bacon buttie-Tea only.

eP.

L and P on cheese on toast rocks too, put on before grilling

Heinz 57 sauce and HP steak sauce either one on a sirloin steak and BOB'S yer UNCLE. Throw a smidge of tobassco sauce in too and BAM
