Earth, Teach Me

Earth teach me quiet ~ as the grasses are still with new light.
Earth teach me suffering ~ as old stones suffer with memory.
Earth teach me humility ~ as blossoms are humble with beginning.
Earth teach me caring ~ as mothers nurture their young.
Earth teach me courage ~ as the tree that stands alone.
Earth teach me limitation ~ as the ant that crawls on the ground.
Earth teach me freedom ~ as the eagle that soars in the sky.
Earth teach me acceptance ~ as the leaves that die each fall.
Earth teach me renewal ~ as the seed that rises in the spring.
Earth teach me to forget myself ~ as melted snow forgets its life.
Earth teach me to remember kindness ~ as dry fields weep with rain.

- An Ute Prayer

Pop, THAT is sublime! I'm printing that one out :)

“Prohibition... goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes... A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.”

Abraham Lincoln

An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

The people knew some much that we have forgotten. Modern man is so arrogant. he goes into " undeveloped" countries and tries to teach the"poor people" how to live. Tell me, what's wrong with living in a hut, close to nature? Why do I need electricity? Why do I need to " become a productive member of modern society"? All our great technology and huge amounts of power at our fingertips, is NOT making a better world, its poisoning it.

I remember an experiment we conducted in biuology class when I was in highschool ( yep, walked both ways in the snow barefoot...LOL! ). We inocculated a petry dish that had a medium of Agar Agar with a mold. It was fascinating to watch it grow and slowly, then exponentially, spread across the surface of the medium, until it covered the dish. The next day, it was dead. Why? not because it exhausted its food supply. It poisoned itself with its waste products. I've never forgotten that. We need to re-examine how we live, and find ways to heal the Earth, before its too late.

Hey friends look, I'm having a Friday party or something, so please bring your stupid dogs in Hello Kitty hats and remember it's B.Y.O.B. (bring yer own buds... And bring some for everyone else too) lol. I know we're not supposed to post pics of ourselves but, you know, when the authorities come knocking we'll just pretend it's the old strippers in cop outfits routine and invite them in to party with us.

And since we're on quotes, here's one from my own psychiatrist, the honorable Dr. Seuss, "I wish, I wish, for a fish on a dish... One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish."

Here's a good one from an american auther i saw on an episode of arthur the other day:

"Be wise, because the world needs wisdom. If you cannot be wise, pretend to be someone who is wise and then just behave like they would.” ~ Neil Gaiman

I have a similar one about how being confident and pretending to be confident is the same thing but i can't remember where i heard it... maybe i made it up haha!

A fool that knows he is a fool, is further along the path of wisdom that a wise man.
Siddhartha Gautama

Consciousness is, among other things, a spontaneous exercise in creativity. You are learning now, in a three-dimensional context, the ways in which your emotional and psychic existence can create varieties of physical form. You manipulate within the psychic environment, and these manipulations are then automatically impressed upon the physical mold. - Seth, Seth Speaks, Session 515

"Humans are, by every definition, a virus and the most deadly one in the known universe. We replicate blindly with no regard to lack of resources, consume everything in our environment and destroy our host, the Earth, in the process. We kill everything and ourselves. Like other viruses, we evolve and adapt to changes in order to continue consuming, replicating, killing, and dying. And just like other viruses, we'll continue doing just that until resources of our host run out. Then we'll feed on each other until all are dead." - Anthropolis lol
