Are ALL the results in yet...?

Yes Mossy all numbers are in Oregon, Alaska, DC & Portland all legalized marijuana. The only loss for the night was Florida which was very politically charged with the way it was handled. Overall a wonderful day and a tremendous leap forward for all of us.

Great Morning, Peeps! Woke up to the great news about legalization :) Sad to see that FLA is committed to the Reefer Madness cult, BUT...Two States and DC!! Smells like... Victory!!
In our State, the City of Lewiston (think, a tiny Detroit with poor Floridians..) voted down legal possession, but South Portland voted FOR! Its looking like 2016 will be exciting in Portland town :)
Am I the only one who thinks a mandatory 4:20 smoke out should be a Congressional sacrament??
May the Universe make it so! lolol

And the final step is finally here in DC Sweeeet! Congrats to all of the states too.I wonder when I'll be able to go upto the smoke shop and and order me a pack of super fatty lights n a side of organic hash LOL!:Hookah:

:Cool bud:Congrats!! :banghead:
:Cheers me Dears: :pass:

Sad in Florida

Missed it by 2% (58%-42%). We needed 60% to amend the state constitution.

Which Portland? South Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon. The Oregon vote should be interesting, seeing as how they rejected it 2 years ago.

Alaska should go with it? Isn't it right that every resident of the state recieves an annual payment from a state fund, be cool to have coffeeshops and spend that in them!

DC will interesting as well.

I can't see Florida going the legal meds route, too much concerted anti-campaining there.

Just my "My 2 cents"

PAL :peace:

MB.

I was thinking Portland, ME. The city legalized weed last year or the one before that. Unfortunately the city still has to enforce state law.

We need an alchemy badge lol, like a mortar & pestle or something lol. Congrats on all the new states! It's so ironic in this country, I mean wow we really are full of irony/hypocrisy when the District of Columbia, the nation's capital can get legal Cannabis but that's not good enough for the rest of the country lol. Anyways, enough of that :) that'll be all my rant on it lol.

The US Congress can still quash leagalization in DC, It's going to be very interesting to see what happens there. If congress let's it slide in DC the flood gates are open.

I work in Portland, Maine, and the practical reality here is that I haven't seen anyone popped for cannabis-unless they were doing something criminal, and were caught with it- in a LONG time. The police department's official stand is "we enforce State law", but they have better things to do than hassle otherwise lawful citizens. I've seen them ask people who were smoking out in public to put it away and move along, but unless they become an @sshat, they are just asked to split.
Yesterday, South Portland voted to legalize possession. So, now the vast majority of the population in and around Portland, Maine have stated that cannabis should be legal, regulated, and taxed. I see a tsunami of legalization in 2016.
In the case of DC and Congressional veto of their law, I doubt the Republicans are going to make the mistake of miring down on MJ, when they have the opportunity to royally fekk up so much more "urgent" legislation....
