Well im sure you have researched the issue of your phone ..u may have just gotten a bad one..I worked for asurion the place that does allot of the phone insurance replacements.and most phones that are gona break do so in the first 3 months or week .They should give you a new one right away as long as there is no water damage. dont forget to take out your sd card when you turn it in.There should be a way to reset the phone holding the buttons to get it unstuck and format it.

Did you possibly interrupt an upgrade without realizing? What model? I've done a lot of screen changes and other part replacements on Iphones and Samsungs and have had some DOA's come back just by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. Samsungs are easy, Iphone can void your warranty if you open it.
Sure you didn't set it by a sweaty glass. Most phones will wick up water easily and it raises hell with only a tiny bit through the mini usb, or other port, the weakest link.

I was watching a late night TV programme on how people are preparing for the appocalypse with nuclear bunkers and things - it really got me thinking.
If you could only smoke ONE strain of canna for the rest of your days, (or you could only pack one type into the bunker) What would it be????
It's like saying "whats your favourite" ... but maybe not .. maybe your favourite is not the one you'd smoke all the time (can't think why!)
I'm partial to Amnesia Haze ... (and lots of others) .. But if i had to choose Today what i want to take into the bunker, I choose
Girl Scout Cookies (we really should get our auto on with these lol)

I don't have Verizon...is Ubuntu standard with them? Wish I could help, but if it bricked then it could be a plethora of reasons. Do you remember what the last action with that phone was before it bricked?
As of right now, I have a sativa leaning Vortex from TGA. Had you asked me a year ago, it would have been Neville's Haze. But this Vortex is absolutely perfect. One full bowl to the head is like coffee and motivation to the brain...3 bowls is nap time.
It's like the best of both worlds. If the bunker drives me nuts, I just smoke a little more and pass out.

My phone as rooted and super SU all stripped down. I knew not to hit ok on that OTA. it was my fought. after the brick I had no download mode no restore. nothing. blank screen I use linux and used a quailquam driver to get Ubuntu to see the phone as 18 usb drives . in CMD in ununtu i pushed 5 .img to 5 different partitions like dd if=/home/user/desktop -l/de/dev/sdc somthing like that I think i pushed the wrong .img into line 5 ..
Not unless you lose download mode or recovery then linux can see the partitions windows cant.
I can say after building 100s of iphones and androids installing CWM TWRP cmod this is this first one i have bricked and have lost..
Would that be field tech, as in dead of winter outdoor BRRRR type work?
