You have not heard us Black Country types speak then. They call us Yam Yams because our version of the Queens English is so corrupt!

Happy Birthday my good chum.

Now then, just a quicky...anyone grow Lemon o Matic ? I had one as a freebie. It is going great guns.

American accent?

We have so many accents in the States that we don't have a defining "American Accent".
What identifies us around the world is that we don't sound British so must be Yanks.

At least you guys don't have to try to translate a French speaking Newfie. Even us Canadians can't understand that shit. Lol

I love regional accents. They are so diverse. And each is unique. Heck back in the day I could almost tell which street you were from by your accent. I kid you not. Certainly which part of town. Even a small one.
My areas accent is known as sounding Thick or Stupid. That's ok. I love being underestimated. It puts you on the front foot. Let them think you are slow, then, after the negotiations of whatever, they go away thinking.....I just got stitched up by that thick Brummie/Paddy/etc. Wha.....

I knew an Irish fellow who played upon the "Thick Paddy" type in his business. It worked a treat. He was more cunning than a vat full of cunning foxes. And that is well cunning.

Another example, when Lulu opens her Glaswegian mouth, I want to punch her and shut her up. When a lady from say Peterhead in Scotland opens her trap, I rush to the toilet to "see" to myself. Accents are so powerful.

I hope I wasn't too graphic. Just making a point. A small one. Ahem.

Ive got a thing for women with any Scottish accent... region does not make a difference. I discriminate against none!

There are more than a few Northern US businessmen still scratching their heads wondering how they were so snookered by a "slow talkin" southerner they had sooo underestimated.
