tE, I hope the decision holds.

Whatever it takes the employer drug testing policies need to be rewritten.the state Supreme Court loss last year against the medical user with the cable company was a major loss against our rights/freedoms. This was a Colorado case in case ur. wondering. Nothing worse than not wanting the big pharma's poison but not being able to use a safer alternative. After a back surgery and( still) endless pain, oxy and percs are acceptable in the workplace but thc is not,ridiculous...,,rant over ......

It's batshit crazy.
See, we already have a second plank for a platform.

I didn't plan on this long rant when I started typing, I'll move it to a more appropriate place shortly.

I'm dreaming of a purple kushmas. Merry solstice green tribe, sola's return begins, although it will be a month before she tops Old Man Mt and floods the valley with life restoring energy. Until then, many bowls up of harvested sunshine. Death of the old year, birth of the new one.......Happy Holidays

I will also say the law suit against CO was thrown out of fed court Wyoming and the other state tried to sue for the decision to legalize cannabis.. 2016 will be a VERY interesting year for medical cannabis!!

is it tossed? The last I'd read the Fed's solicitor general is advising them to dismiss the case, but the court could still decide to hear it. Would be great news if SCOTUS turned it away. Here's the last article I saw on it: http://www.thecannabist.co/2015/12/...do-marijuana-lawsuit-oklahoma-nebraska/45190/

I'm of a mixed mind on this one. I think that if people aren't getting baked at work, and there home activity isn't affecting their work then it should be none of the companies business what someone does. But.....I also do think that it should be up to a company to decide there own policy within the scope of existing law, and that they should be allowed to do so. There is no law needed to tell them that they can't test if people are getting drunk on the weekends, they just usually choose not to do so because they don't see drinking as a problem. And that I think is the course that needs to be taken. As the reefer madness crowd continues their campaign of using the scariest twist on the vaguest of facts to make us tokers look evil, we need to shine a light on the fact Leafs By Snoop isn't nearly evil enough for an employer to worry about any more that Coors or Budweiser are.

If someone is getting baked at work, or not doing their job right can them. If the reason they aren't doing their job right is that they are getting baked on their own time, that is not relevant.

Any how... /rant off

In other, good news...looks like Alaska is trying to lead the way in getting public use up and running:

Impairment is obvious. You wouldn't believe the reactionary hysteria here in AK over marijuana use and driving. Impairment for whatever reason is observable, cops have cameras, pull over impaired, record what goes down, if too fucked up to drive, take them off the road. Same for the work place, worker impaired send him/her home, repeated behavior loose job. No need for testing, to support a bs growth industry that violates privacy rights.

@Ozone69 I pretty much agree with most of what u said and here's an example :if my company were to test for alcohol on a Monday morning,I guarantee some people would come up "hot" ,and yes people should not be getting baked on company time,I have worked with ( and I'm sure we all have) many naturally stupid/lazy people who cannot do their assigned job (sober)....if colorado law enforcement is using a "test" that shows you have smoked "x" amount in the last" x time frame" for DUI purposes, employers should use a similar test to show if you smoked right before work( or the test) or " x" time ago( like last night/last week),I work with way more"open" drinkers than "open "smokers, although I have seen equal amounts of terminations for alcohol vs thc. Here's the difference I see, could have smoked as far as a few weeks ago ,prolly drank a few hours ago

No worries mate. That wasn`t a rant, it was a few words spoken in frustration(that all decent folks will appreciate)...We all suffer your pain(in one way or another!) and a good `Rant` is a healthy fing sometimes!(not that it was...as I mentioned b4 ) :pass:

Can I have a rant about the the current state of football (US tx - soccer ) regards the once Mighty Wolves.

What a bunch of no hope fairies. Spineless, lacking skill, drive and oh I don't know. Overpaid and under skilled. That's what.

Rant over. Ta
