Live Stoner Chat Looking for Alaskans

Hello everyone. I am completely new to growing, but now that weed is legal in Alaska I want to start growing some auto's in the house to help my wife with pain management. Due to my job I can't smoke but have always loved the look and smell of cannabis.
I am going to have all types of questions and will post them in the appropriate place. Thank you all for your hard work and input. If you live in Alaska please let me know as we have a unique environment to work with.

I am from Southern Oregon originally so I grew up with cannabis all around me. Had friends who grew for medical card holders and always enjoyed going over to their greenhouse set ups. Just the plant is amazing. The way it changes through it's short life cycle is incredible. Not to mention the medicinal properties. My wife right now is taking flexerile plus celebrex just to ease her pain enough to sleep. It would be great if I can grow a plant that will relieve her pain and allow her body to heal.
