hi guys since i couldnt find pro mix and bio bizz mixes in so cal, i've decided it was now or never so here it is, i went to my closest hydro store and was looking for FF light warrior and FF ocean forest, to mix them up and start my autoflower seeds, but they were out of stock, so i asked the guy there what was better for me, i told him i was gonna use 3 gal pots and that i didnt want to transfer my plants from one pot to another, i was gonna use the same pots and same soil from seed to harvest and that i was gonna feed my plants during the whole process ( not the first 2 weeks tho ;) ), so he recommended to get FF Happy Frog and a bag of Black Gold Perlite, so i did, but i forgot to ask him some questions tho, hope you can help me:

1- Should i add anything else to this mix ( dolomite lime, epsom salt, guano ) for the whole process or am i fine with just Happy Frog and Perlite + my bio bizz nutrients ?

2- He told me to get a 5 gal bucket and fill 50 % of it with 25 % Happy Frog and 25 % perlite then mix it and that was it, is this a good way to do it ? if its wrong how should i mix them, what ratios should i use ?

3- i dont know if this information is needed but imma be using bio bizz grow, bio bizz bloom, bio bizz fish mix, GH CALiMAGic and GH Ph control kit

thanks so much in advance

Don't use those two GH chems, the other stuff is good to go...you'll be all organic if you stay away from those two...get an RO so you have chlorine free water also. Ffhf has always been acidic for me, so I would mix in the perlite as recommended then test pH...if its low, mix in some lime, maybe 2-3 tbsp per gallon.

i thought they were no harm, since one is a ph tester and the other one is just in case of some cal/mag deficiency, clarify on the subject please cause now im confused :(

I do not understand why you folks all talk so highly of RO water when the best you are ever going to get is 50-60 PPM post filtration. Not to mention it has parts that must be replaced. I am a big fan of 67cent gallons of distilled water at wally world. First off, you can find the shit every where. Second, it has a PPM of less than 10 typically. That means you can stuff 25-40% more nutes into your water when the plants are 2 weeks old. Why bother with home filtration when it is so costly and such a pain in the ass?

I use RO water for a lot more than just my plants, so it pays for itself. I never need bottled water for sports, cooking, home projects, I can wash my car and never dry it because the RO water doesn't leave spots, I can dump it all over my plants outside and not even fertilize because the microherd thrives naturally blah blah blah. It's cool, it works, it's how the best growers in the world grow.

As far as what's organic or not, my point was simply that if you use chlorine/chloramine-free water and do not pH adjust, everything you listed in your first post will produce top notch results because the natural soil environment will nurture the plants without the need for pH 6.3 every time. You can absolutely use the setup you outlined and it will work, but it won't work as well as just a regular chemical nutrient would work, and in that case you're starting to wander into the world of hydroponics, etc etc.

Organic Soil + Biobizz organic nutes + good water = a great crop of organically grown dope.
