Hey AFN,
Long time lurker, medical and occasionally recreational cannabis user and horticulture student/ landscaping assistant. I have a fair amount of practical knowledge and experience with quite a few edible and display plants including cultivation via a permaculture format. Sadly while all the basic skills are similar, indoor growing takes some getting used to, especially with limited space.
So I am just starting off doing a small grow in a 60x60x140 tent, with 300w full spectrum lighting with planned CFL supplementation a little further into the life cycle (had some issues with power supply safety, old wiring, so until I've sorted that out I'm trying not to overload the circuit) and to also get a long rectangular tent so that I can have a plant or 2 harvested every 2-4 week.
To you UK growers out there I'd love to hear from you about potential reliable suppliers for the kit!
So right now I'm about 2 weeks into my Blueberry Auto purchased from Zamnesia Seeds as I've been happy with their auto versions of the classics that I cropped for a friend with arthritis. And also around 5 days into a critical cheese auto from the same supplier. Seem like pretty strong genetics with 100% in medium germ and despite a pretty stupid mistake with a fan the recovery from windburn on the blueberry was incredible. Even the one with pretty bad deformity and stunting seems to be coming on though I'm keeping it in a 2ltr pot simply out of curiosity of what will happen.
I initially planted into 2ltr pots as was advised to and luckily I'm a crack hand at transplantation and see almost 100% success with little to no shock but I will be experimenting with final pot germination In the future. Transplanted into the same medium (6prts lightmix 2prts perlite 1pt vermiculite) into 11litre fabric pots.
Below is pics of my grow, the first one of the blueberry is the day of transplant and the second shows significant growth within 24hrs. And also the windburned plant and the small seedling is the critical cheese.
