Hi all.
Recently joined afn and as a noobie i am desperate for an answer to my current planned seed run.
Sent off for 10 regular mi5 seeds from short stuff. They arrived pronto. All 10 germinated (yippee!) tho sadly due to heat and weak light issues in the first 3 weeks 9 of them have grown a bit stunted. Happily the 10th is a MASSIVE exception and is a female and has shown such vigour that she showed her sex at the same time as the 3 males with 5 other females sexing a few days later.
Here's my question. When she's pollinated will her female offspring show the SAME vigour or does she need a MASSIVE exceptionally vigourous male to deliver "super vigourous" female offspring?
I do hope somebody can get back to me before the 3 males blow their wad over "super woman" and her 5 female friends.
This forum is for grow noobies with their questions and that's me so please . .Help!
(Le doy las gracias anticipadamente / I thank you in advance)

Welcomed to AFN!!! Unfortunately you'll not know what the plant was truly capable, as stunting is an a environmental condition not in its "genes". So with most probability the offspring will have definitely 50% of the traits of its mother and more than likely due to the stinging I'm saying its a safe bet seeds should be the same, also its good thru all that stress she stilled thrived, that vigor and strength will carry over.
Good luck! Sending a karma cloud full of a good seed run!

Welcome to AFN good sir, glad to have you here.. you should take some shots of the plants for us and post 'em up, we love to see all plants.. no matter the condition. I've grown some 2-3" autos myself... haha, they get ya just as medicated.

Yoda's spot on, that stunting is an environmental thing more than it is genetics.. stunting is not a trait that passes on unless the strain is meant to be a dwarf. I would even keep the stunted females and let them pollinate as well, you may actually find a vigorous offspring from them. You're going to have a ton of seeds man.

A mal tiempo, buena cara mi amigo!

Love to Yodabuds and wg.
Both been a great help.
Will get pics when the seed run is nearing it's end.

Peace peace peace peace peace.
Love love love love love love love.
puff puff puff !!

I'd suggest that you rethink your pollination a bit. One fully pollinated auto plant can easily yield 1,000 - 1,500 seeds. If you let all your plants be full pollinated you're going to have more seeds than you'll every be able to grow. You might be better off just pollinating a branch on one or two plants. Even one lower branch can easily yield 50-60 seeds. Also keep in mind that when a female is seeded, the energy goes into producing seeds and the yields will be lower on those plants and probably not as potent.

To clarify what I meant with letting the stunted ones get pollinated instead of scrapping them - this will give you a broader pool of characteristics to work with. Muddy is right about pollinating a whole plant.. and potency.

Don't want it to seem as if I'm giving out bad advice here!

LOL OMG had no idea that many seeds cam out..so why do they cost so much lol 1500x10x5 for shipping lol bucks...thats why im building seed tent so ill just buy seeds i want to cross..they should sell pollen too...I just hate international shipping! !SEEDs means work..bud production lacks to get seeds nice and fat. the plant must take care of its future.
