Looking for any info, links, articles, personal experience, ect. on mmj friendly or not so friendly landlords. I'm about 10 weeks away from moving to Colorado and i don't want to have to worry about finding a new home due to mmj growing in the house. I have no clue about what the law says on this subject and after a google search I'm still not to sure. Any input would greatly be appreciated :peace:

Speaking as a renter in Colorado with a grow-friendly landlord... :)

The first thing would be to look for an actual landlord as opposed to an agency or property management firm...
unless they clearly state a pro-grow policy.

Second - Ask dispensary and grow shop employees if they know of any properties or good contacts

In my case, it was a friend of a friend so I already knew that he had grown before I broached the subject...
but I understand that isn't really as much of a possibility for you.

The key is...you don't want to blindly trust someone you don't know...they have a key to the place after all ;)
They could just as easily tell you yes then jack your harvest.

If you don't want to tell the landlord, then you'll have to make sure it isn't specifically forbidden in the lease.
If it's not spelled out, they can't legally evict you for it since rental statutes are enforced at the state level and
are therefore subject to state law, not federal. But there will always be a way for a landlord to get rid of someone.
(And that's an educated guess, not facts in evidence based on experience)

Best bet is to cross the t's and dot the i's and find a trustworthy, cool landlord and be completely above boards.
The availability of which will depend on where you're moving...i.e. Boulder vs. a more conservative town.
Smaller is probably better too, as it relates to person to person rental relationships and general attitude.

My 2 cents.

might check coloradopotguide.com . I used it for my vacation. it's kind of a tourist site but maybe a link or 2. forget that lol Trapper has you covered

Thanks trapper, appreciate that. Your right, my options are limited due me living on the east coast, i can smell the ocean close, maybe i should have a few places in mind before i go and grab a hotel for about weeks to explore. Can u grow in hotels :) lol
Ill check out that Colorado put guide also, thanks for that info elsa. 10 weeks away i should have all this figured out but you know how us free spirit, take life by the horns, the earth is my home, kinda ppl are :)

If you exude good karma it usually comes back around to you ;)

Well in that case :karma Cloud: your way buuddyyyy :)

if it wasn't for my grandkid's I'd be living there right now! there's a real cool vibe out there

Yea definitely, its a movement i refuse to stand by and watch without being a part of. I'm from a rough city and im ready for mountains and positive ppl in my life. And to grow legally, i mean wow, what a great experience that will be

It really is cool to grow without the anxiety and fear of prosecution...the need for general secrecy is still a good idea though. :)

Except amongst trusted fellow growers and friends, of course.

I'm thinking about organizing a "Bootlegger's Society" for growers where we can trade our wares with each other since
gifting back and forth is totally legal.
