I've been using a 4 bulb 2ft. T5 HO (96w) for several years to get seedlings of age before moving into the big girls flower tent.
It's been the real workhorse of my perpetual med grows and the only thing I've not upgraded over these years.
I usually move healthy plants to a bloom tent at 3-4 weeks old.
After a bloom tent lighting upgrade, I began to notice some strains just don't respond well to the cobs/qb setup at first but going back to the T5 veg area immediately enlivens the plants.
Of course, the T5 can be within a few inches of a plant and cobs-QB are 20" or so above the canopy.
Bottom line, T5s are more useful than once thought.

You probably need more in the blue end of the spectrum in your bloom room. I added two 50w royal blue COBs 3 grows back and the plants responded well. I run 14 Citizen 1212 3500K cri 90s and the two Royal Blues in flower along with 2 - 48" AgroMax UVA Plus 10,000K fluorescents the last three weeks and 1 - 48" Pure UV AgroMax the last two weeks just a couple of hours in the middle of the day.

Here also! I have a 96w 3bulb 2ft HOT5 in my baby tent and I would NEVER use anything else. I have also had issues once putting them into the big girls tent and had to put them back under the T5. I wish I could just do the whole grow under it, but I know its not enough light in bloom.
