Myth Bust: Matanuska Thunder Fuck Strain

Hello everyone! Wanted to bust the myth, that this strain exists. The simple answer is yes...and no! Back in the 70's, there was a guy named Larry, who had the strain, "Matanuska Thunder Fuck". the name was given, for the dank weed that came out of the Matanuska Valley, right here in Alaska. It was what they called it in the booming pipeline days. Back then, strains didnt have a name. Either it was crap, good or Matanuska Thunder Fuck! There are several seed banks, that claim they have seeds of this strain for sale. Simply put, that is NOT correct. There are stories of Larry being offered 1000-1500 dollars for a cutting. He never sold a cutting to anyone, not even his best friends. The strain died, when he got busted and went to jail. The state burnt everything on site, including his genetics. Larry has passed and his son decided to quash the legends of this strain.
The simple fact is, Larry got a clone from California, which was indeed a Tangie Sativa! So, for people and seedbanks(Dr. Greenthumb), offering to sell you high priced clones or seeds of a MTF, buyer beware! Here is some literature to read and google searches will give you more detail. On a personal note, Larry's son even went above and beyond, to post his bio of the strain on seedfinder, to debunk the myth. We Alaskans, refer ALL great weed coming out of the Matanuska Valley as Matanuska Thunder Fuck....Nothing to do with strain specifics!

Thanks briman...an interesting read! As for Dr. Greenthumb, if you are looking at purchasing his strains make sure you do your homework before deciding to buy off him. Though he does have Some quality genetics he is far from being a class act.
