need some organic K advice

lol Soil, I dig it brother. I've registered there now. 3, 2 , 1...

We need Eyes on Fire up in here, he's loaded with organic info! As for the greensand, I use a good bit of it in the soil and in a topdressing mix. I think it helps in both ways. I also use Azomite which is basically mineral rock dust, in the soil mix and in my topdressing. :)

yes, both fantastic amendments....

now.... goto rockdustlocal.com and get the pair of 40 lb bags of basalt and granite rock dusts.... add those to your soils and foliar sprays... watch the explosion of health! :poof:

Straight K??stay away from Green sand and most things actually, there are many trace elements that will build up.your best bet IF your grow is already going is to brew a concentrate and/or a soup mix and hit your soil with Alaskan 0-0-10 or similar. or pre treat your soil prior to amending next run and it'll lend well when its needed.hope that help.cost ya bout 10 bucks

Thanks for the input everyone

Eof I didn't mix anything in except for the manure compost with promix bx When I did I wasn't planning on going organic but figured hell why not I got blood meal and bone meal both organic but theres no K so I'll be top dressing what ever ferts I use I don't ph anything cause I'm lazy

Well in that case your totally going to wanna add several things for the trace micro n macro foods and the bennie self feeding and cannibalistic nature of self feeding of the proper blends of wettable powders and/or harvested microbes from the earth with an Endo/Ecto mix added will build you a decent population to send off to your canna plant root n the like.

Just remembered I put about a tablespoon of grow more myco in the holes then put the Transplants in the hole I'm gonna go to civilization one day this week and see what I can find

Green Sand is good, so is hard wood ash. Also kelp meal but it also contains as much N as K, and you may not need the extra N. Granite rock dust is also good but is slow acting, which is fine if you are mixing your soil far enough ahead of when you plant.

didn't catch the hardwood ash think I'll check the wood pile see if there's any hickory or oak from last year
