+1 on the heat mats. If it gets below 0f where I'm at, I have to put one in my auto closet, or it won't stay 60 at night. With a snake mat- 10x15 inches, maybe.. It'll stay 67, lights out.I see some people use reptile heat mats?
Middle temp. is garage and bottom temp. cabinet
In my experience the 12" 60w tube heater's are useless, go for the 24" 120w and try and get them under you inlets

Thanks for that, really appreciate it.
Like you're saying trying to heat the intake up seems like a more viable option than stuffing heater inside.
The thing is my tent is not even in a garage, it's in a heated room but the plants obviously like the temps to be a bit higher (I'm comfy wrapped up in a blanket with 17 degrees C but the plants are not) and even with the lights on with the new GN units I won't be able to guarantee proper temperature without supplemental heating:dunno:
modern led lights 40 to 50% efficient hps 35% efficient. As compared to what? Can you explain the physics behind led and hps lighting. I am really interested in your reply these are some interesting points you have brought up.hps are 35% efficient (when new), modern led lights should be 40-50% efficient. why do you think you need heating all of the sudden? stop thinking as gn is some kind of magic company, the rules of physics still apply to them...

Why waste electricity for heating just add some CFL bulbs and run it 24/7
