anyone hazard a guess on price of defusers ? growing in a small oblong cupboard, not getting the correct defuser would be counter productive.shame the unused standard defuser that comes with the unit will be junked straight away.80x50 or 50x80 ? same thing diferent axis ? what side of the unit is the front ? gets stencil set ready to mount this off centre light.damn that's another 12 holes in my ceiling.
Sorry archie, no idea price of difusers, that part of the site not working yet and I could not make a guess.
Contact them they maybe able to swap out the 80x80 a put in a 80 x 50 before sending it to you, you could at the same time find out what the price of additional difusers would be.
The difusers are square so rotating it 90 degrees should sort orientation, check with GN if this would be the case.
Drilling new holes - In life things sometime change and we have to embrace that change or stay as we already were.
When I got my new combi boiler I suddenly found a big white box half the way up my kitchen wall with new exhaust holes in my exterior wall and a whole load of pipe coming up through the worktop.
Same applies for Lights if the form factor changes we find we have a little DIY to do.
Most people don't like to change because we have to adapt to those changes, which means we have to do a little work in order to accommodate those changes.
However once we get used to those changes we often find we wish that we had done it years ago.
You don't have to drill new holes, you could use your old hanging points, but I like to max everything to it's full potential If I possibly can & centering the point where the light emits from would be something I would do to maximize that.
Old holes can be filled and painted, also the old holes would be in your grow room ceiling, it's not like you show people around the house and have to excuse the holes in the ceiling and red facedly say "what must you think of me, I have far too many holes in the ceiling", no one gonna see them except you and if that is an issue fill them.
I hope you understand what I mean, I just like to be practical and pragmatic in order to get the best from my equipment, especially when I am using the highest end gear I find I want to get every penny I spent working for me.
