Hi AFN! I have enjoyed reading through so many helpful threads! Excited to keep learning here and share any info I have that may be useful.

I am just a few days away from starting my first grow! I have everything but nutes (and a fan speed controller) so I am reading through the posts here to absorb as much info as possible! Seems like a great group to be a part of. Oh, I've never even been on a forum before so I am a total newbie!

I am fairly new at this also. But my 2 cents says, screw the nutes and grow organic. Mix up a great soil (several recipes out there) and water with molasses and maybe a tea when you are ready. Minimum hassle and great results.

Thanks everyone! I will for sure keep a journal and will be reaching out for help soon. I was going to install my fan and filter today and realized that I need to add some height to my cabinet so I will do that tomorrow. Then I'll upload a picture of my set up and list my seeds. Any help is so much appreciated! I have read through several journals posted here. Very helpful. Great group!

If you are brand new this is the place to be welcome aboard Medijane. I am a big proponent of Advanced nutrients ph perfect is easy to use and great for beginners IMO. You want exhaust to be stronger than intake so you can exchange the air in your room 4 times a hour so go with as much air exchange as you can I go overkill

Welcome home haha You'll be hooked on the great vibes here soon hehe The first couple grows is such an adventure, it can be fun and it will be frustrating at times too lol. As for nutes since ya don't have any yet, everyone will suggest different things. I would like to suggest getting a General Organics GO Box from ebay or amazon for several reasons. It's pretty cheap, I think about $45 to $50 and covers everything to start with. It's newbie friendly! It has a dosage guide right on the box, (but if using on autoflowering strains, always start with half strength for awhile). Also it's a nice all-in-one package to introduce someone to the idea of organic feeding of the soil and plant. Just my opinion, and we know what they say about opinions lol.
