Holiday Accident

I was away for the Thanksgiving Holiday. When I got home last night. The first thing I checked were my Girls. The extra light that I added to the door brurned the top colas of NL1 and SR2. I had to cut 2 inches off the two plants. There is still smaller bud sites, but no main colas anymore. I'm totally sick about it. I'm thinking of just tossing them in the trash. They are just going to waste space. They will just produce pop corn buds.

I'll put up some picks when I get new batteries for the camera.

Damage to the NL and SR was not a bad as I had thought. I lost the top colas to both of them, but they seem to be all right.

The Nirvana Soil and Flower Tabs have been working well. I made the mistake of not LSTing the Girls. In the small space of the SuperBox I'll need to LST all the plants. I thought the one gallon SmartPots would keep the grow on the short side. The Short Riders are twice the size of the last Short Rider Grow. The Northern Lights are flowering small bud sites; nothing very large. Dissapointed on the yield I'll be getting from the NLs. The smoke (vape) better be good from them. I'll more than likely not be doing Northern Lights again.

Micro Grow Halved

SR#2 and NL#1 are are too tall for the SuperBox. Had to make an additional Flower area in the Den's closet. They are under one 300w Feliz Dual Spectrum cfl and two 65w Spiral "RED" cfls. The tall vertical fan is giving them a breeze.

This not what I wanted to do with this grow. I thought the one gallon SmartPots would keep the Girls short and bushy. The main stems at 45 days old are 3/4" thick at the base and they are over 20" (51cm) tall. These are also the Girls that had the top colas topped by accident.

The other SRs and NLs are still in the SuperBox; they are shorter and not as tall.

NL-SR Week #8 Closet and SuperBox




Had to move NL#1 and SR#2 into the Den's closet. This is not what I had planned when I started this grow. The grow just got too big for the SuperBox. NL#2 and SR#1 are small enough to be in the SuperBox.

Although they are being fed with Nirvana Flower Tabs; I added 1 tea. Liquid Kool Bloom, 1 tea Cal Mag and 1 TBS. Molasses @ gallon to this watering. The bud sights besides SR #1 are small. They just don't have the bloom that I would like.

They are going into Week #8

The location of the Den's closet is opposite to the side of the house. Directly in front of two large windows. I cannot add a black out shade to keep the light showing outside. I'm not too worried about being spotted from the road.

They needed a boost of Cal Mag. Their growth in VEG was crazy. Cleaned up some of the bottom leaves that had gone yellow and brown. You're right on finishing. They still have 4 or 5 weeks to go. SR#2 has the biggest cola. SR#1's cola got burned to a crisp along with NL#1's.
Got some Liquid Kool Bloom the other day; just to help set up the buds better. The Flower Tabs are working okay, but you still need an added booster. The Nirvana Soil Tabs worked very well. Still on the fence with them working with Autos.

The problem is that the Den's louver doors are glowing. There is no hiding the fact that there are BRIGHT lights in there. Thank Heavens that nobody goes in the Den but me. You can still see the Bright lights from the back of the house. Not too worried.

I read just about every comment on the Nirvana site re. the Soil Tabs ... Nirvana suggests using less than a whole Soil Tab for autos ... Big plants are OK if you're expecting them ... I hope to start a couple w/ tabs before end of the month and I wouldn't mind if they get a little bigger ...

It's sure is BRIGHT. The closet really isn't set up for a growing space. The only cfl that I had was the 300w Dual Spectrum. That throws a lot of light. The lights are 18/6. Set the timer for OUT at 10:00pm and ON at 4:00pm. I have a small vertical fan for some good breeze. There is no exhaust. The door's louvers are open wide as they can go. They seem to like the open spaces. The move should help them along.

Gave them a shot of CaliMagic and molasses today. That should help them in the long run in Flower.

The Soil Tabs kick butt!!!! The Girls just blasted in growth. No issues at all with the products. Just have to find the right amount. The one Soil Tab per one gallon SmartPots that were used on this grow had no negative effects at all. Halfing them maybe better; however you are not going to burn your Girls with Soil Tabs.

The Flower Tabs seem to be working well. The added nutrients in FLOWER aren't necessary, but it hasn't hurt one single bit. They still need added Cal/Mag at times.

My other half is not happy with the new grow area at all. Told her it was necessary.
