Grow Room Nirvana Northern Lights

The NL being an Indica will typically stay on the short side. This NL is bushy and fat. Sativa strains typically are lankier and the circle LST maybe in order. I'm not ruling out any LSTing, but right now I'm going to let her do her thing and see what comes along.

Whatever LSTing on her has opened up the lower growth and it may have helped her fill out better. I want to her to strengthen up a bit and get a little taller.

Better laid plans of Mice and Men; too early to tell what's she's gonna do.

Untied and Natural

Three photos of untied NL Solo. Fat and bushy no LST for her. Got plenty of space before she finishes; if not there is plenty of time to bend her. Cleaned up the very lower leaves and minor growth to let some good air circulation get in there. Good watering today; pH IN and OUT were 6.4 and soil probe at 7.0. Right on target. The tie down did open the canopy. She was tied down on DAY #17 and she's now at DAY #26. Gonna let her do what she wants to do.

Looking forward to this baylee! There isn't an exact science to LST, so just watch how she reacts to that initial main cola bend. I've grown a plant that as soon as I did the first bend the lower growth just took off so trying to circle the pot wasn't really feasible. Just do little bits at a time every day and keep tucking the fan leaves and enjoy tying her down! I love seeing LST in action

Letting her go free for now. The time she as tied down was a benefit, but she wants to fat and bushy. The circle LST is better suited to Sativa strains that tend to be lanky.

SuperBox; NL Autoflower "Solo" Setup

The Official SuperBox Northern Light Autoflower Grow photo (DAY #26)

Besides the 4x65w cfls BLUE shown there is a large 200w Feliz cfl BLUE.

SmartPot is raised off clay saucer by a one inch plastic garden screen. Giving plenty of air circulation. I've actually grown two plants in this SuperBox. The Short Riders were easy to grow in this small space. This solo grow will be easy to manage.

Solo Northern Light (Nirvana)

Just a photo of "Solo" that I had on my camera.

RH has been on the dry side the last couple of days (40%-47%). The leaves "canoed" a little. Raised CFL lights a bit; could be a little heat/light stress. Temps are in the 71F-78F range. Todays RH is 56%. Also raised the small air circulation fan so it's not directly blowing on the plant, but just over the top.

She'll be going into Week Four on Thursday.

All in all she's hanging out and enjoying herself.

(She was tied down for 10 days so she's just now growing up into the light)

Raising the lights and fan improved the leaf cannoning. She grew a full inch last night. This Wet/Dry cycle going to let the soil dry out a bit. I've been using a quality soil moisture meter. I usually will water when the meter reads 4-5. That is rather on the moist side; so this cycle I'll give her a good drying (3-2). That way the roots will be searching for the remaining water. Cannabis will tolerate a short dry period and they seem to react better when they do get a good saturation after the dry cycle.

I was going to name here "Solo", but I like "Chunky Monkey" as a name.

Thanks Chester.:wg's Cool:

She'll be known as "Chunky Monkey" or "Chunky" for short.

Chunky Monkey aka Nirvana Northern Lights Week #4

P8250003.jpgP8250002.jpg

Chunky Monkey is going into Week #4 tomorrow. Growing an inch each day and seems to be very healthy. Having to water her every 2nd day now. The Coco Loco soil I'am using on this grow seems to dry out faster than the last grow. No sign of over-watering. Full strength of RfS today then it'll be water on the next two waterings. The top of the measuring stick is 7". That's going to be the "Yellow" line on height. Generally the 6th week she'll stop growing and start to pre-flower. The maximum height is 18-20 inches for this SuperBox cabinet.

Keeping a movie of this grow. Starting from the seeding popping to harvest (when ready).
