Grow Room Nirvana Northern Lights

Hey BayLee,

Sorry I haven't posted my pictures of my Northern Light. I've been crazy busy. She is so beautiful. Looks like everything is going well for your grow. I promise to post my pictures Friday night after I get home from work.

Peace,

Chunky has been going well. I had to LST the side branches to get the canopy even. I added two 42w cfls. One "Blue" and one "Red" plus two 20w cfls "Red". The main cfl is a 300w Feliz Dual Spectrum. My SuperBox is the size of a file cabinet so I need to keep her short and flat.

Looking forward to your pics.

LST Side Branches

Chunky LST side branches. The canopy is seven inches tall. Need to keep her short and flat. Water/Feeding is now every 2 days (48 hours). The pH (IN) 6.4; pH (OUT) 7.0.

SuperBox Getting Too Hot/Light

I've been having a problem of Chunky drooping. She's been drinking lots of water. I raised the cfls that I have and still she's just not un-drooping.

I had 384w of cfls going in that small area. She's getting too much light/heat? I took out the 300w Feliz dual spectrum and replaced it with a 200w Feliz "RED". I also have the two 42w spiral cfls in the box. The cfl's now are 284w "RED". Although the grow room was in the 72F-78F range; she just couldn't handle the extra lighting. The lights are 8" from the top.

I'd like to get some more info on this. Anyone out there have had an issue with too much light/heat from cfls?

She looks heat stressed, for sure, BayLee. Whats your humidity like in the box? I think it might help to shut down a couple bulbs, and maybe raise the light to 14-16" (33-36cm?). She's a right bush, though. A real beauty, indeed!

Your temperatures seem reasonable ... perhaps it's not getting enough fresh air ?

The lights now are as high as I can get them. The SuperBox is the size of a medium size file cabinet. She's about 6 square feet in area. This is the 1st time I used the 300w cfl and that was just too much. I checked on her about an hour after switching and seems to be taking the switch a lot better. It'll take a few days to get her back to normal.

Thanks for the quick response Waximus.

P.S. The RH is fine; 45%-55%.

Plenty of fresh air. Have the inside fan going and it's the same set up as all my other grows. I took the 300w out and she's seems to be propping up a little bit. I'll keep you all posted.

The bud sights are what has been effected, The bottom leaves have been fine. It's the top leaves and bid site are the areas effected. No sign of any other problem.
