Then do I just cut the bag to increase air flow and add light?
Im a scared to mess things up at this stage. Lol

Yup. The cvg will get colonized and be the food for the mushrooms to grow. Then you start to introduce fresh air

Just out I interest , here are some mushrooms growing at home at the moment , non edible worst luck and I have many types growing here during the wet season .

Now this lot are a puff balls .

The other Bag of substrate is in a black fabric bag hanging on the grow room wall as there was no room in the incubation/mono tub.​
