Just to add to your info overload, things I have learnt myself and through various forums regarding autos.
1)NL is a good strain stealth wise as it does not smell as much as other strains.
2)Germ seed in the final pot, tails down, I recommend 4L and above pot sizes for a reasonable yield, 1 Oz dry + typically expected.
3)Avoid overwatering, try and get onto the wet dry cycle asap, if you do not know what the wet/dry cycle is find out fast. (essentially you need to water the entire pot and let it dry out again to a depth of 3-4 cms, then you can water again, this can be tricky with a big pot and tiny seedling but I water the entire pot, fully dowsed but not saturated fully, you need to make sensible judgements about how much a seedling can take) Do not be tempted to keep watering every day you must let the soil dry out again. Overwatering is an extremely common noob mistake.
4)If at all possible take the pots indoors at night for the first 15 days or so before the smell starts, low temps (below 20C) will stunt the root growth and the plant will stay very small.
5) Your seedling is likely to stretch a fair bit starting at this time of year, it wil be stretching for light on a windowsill. Consider what you might do if it stretches up and becomes weak enough to look like it might topple. You may need to build the soil up and/or stake it with a lightweight drinking straw and light garden twine. It is a very fine balance with a seedling you need a little breeze to strenghten it but not break it in wind. Seedling stage is the most treacherous.
6)As a general rule make sure you do not let the seedling drop below 20C otheriwse it will stunt development of rootsand yield will be miniscule.
7) You probably will not have to use any feed for 20 days ! Then try and use organic fertilizers, not chemical fertilzers. Organic fertilzers leave more leeway for mistakes. Auto flowering strains tend to need very little fertilzer. The first feed at around 21-25 days should be rich in nitrogen so I suggest an organic tomato feed available online for less than £10.00 typically. Then either get a bottle of Biobizz Bloom or Plant Magic Bloom Old Timer, both organic canna specific bloom nutes. Always consider your safety buying online, who are you giving your money to and will they then know what you are growing. I prefer to do a walking vist to a grow shop even thought it is miles from my house. I do not appear with a car and reg plate and I go early in the morning as a first customer. Keeping my eye out on cars and who is in them etc. near grow shops. I walk past first and check the place out. Call me para. I visit grow shops as little as poss and thats why I use tomato organic feed in veg as that is not suspicious to purchase.
8)Buy measuring spoons on ebay 1ml is very small, about the amount that will fit on the top of a £2 coin. 1mL per litre is fine at first from around day 30 onwards added to your watering with every watering. Auto flowering strains will not need much and you compost already has enough nutes for at least 3 weeks.(normally)
I really do recommend organic nutes and not Tomorite which is chemical and very strong concentration. If you get chemical ferts wrong you can burn and kill a plant. Organic is a bit more forgiving as you feed the soil nd the bacteria and fungi in the soil naturally break down the organic feed into nutrients the roots can absorb (it takes 2-5 days in the soil from the time you feed). Chemical fert is readily available and is absorbed quick but if it is too strong it can burn the flower quick and from then on it will be hard to make a good recovery.
Remember Cannabis is a weed, it is quite hardy and one of the fastest developing plants on the planet, it mainly needs plenty of light, make sure you do not over water and support it's stem if/when need arises till it strengthens. Use common sense and you will be ok.
It's a lot to take in but it should be fun ! Before you know it you will be an old hand. Sweet Seeds Fast Bud #2 is a good strain in the UK from my experience trying it last year in spring. It did well considering an early start. Decent buzz and potency and hardy. Decent pest resiliience as well i.e. bud rot which can occur late in the growth with very dense buds (normally Indica dominant strains can suffer this) It is also done in about 7-8 weeks so if something goes wrong with grow 1 start again and get another grow in before the cold days start in Autumn. To clarify you could start a Fast Bud#2 grow in Mid July and still have a nice harvest come 2nd week September. So if it goes wrong this first grow don't worry.
Get some Sweet Seeds Fast Bud#2 seeds in and you will be good to start again as late as 15th July. Nay bother. "pher Wiggle"
Good luck.
