Is tge fox farms ocean forrest too full of nutes? (In a 3 gallon airpot)Or should i be ok? I started germinating yesterday, but if i dont have to go ajd buy more than i already have xD i wont, has any one had any experience with this? Thank you guys!

I find ocean forest to be too hot for seedlings. IMHO I'd get something lighter.

Yes, it can be too hot for seedlings. Many who use it mix it 50/50 with Happy Frog. Also, Fox Farms has had quality control issues with the OF and we've seen some with very low pH, as low as 4.5. I would strongly suggest you check it's pH before you plant anything in it. You may need to mix in some extra dolomite lime to buffer the pH.

look real good for mites and especialy leaf miners, them sons a bitches multiply like crazy.i had to stop buying fox farm, and I was a trusted fan but they changed

I started my first grow with them. Started with six plants, the soil is very hot. I will not use that soil again.

Alright guys i appreciate all of the opinions!! From what you guys are telling me im gonna put the seedling in a shot glass sized pot with organic potting soil im gonna pickup from home depot, as far as after the transfer im gonna do 50/50 ff and whatever organic potting soil i pickup today after work, i would wait and order another brand offline but i jumped the gun on germination (my first grow, mind you) but ty very much for such prompt responses

Hey EG, you should go with something larger like a 16oz Solo cup for your seedling. A shot glass is tiny and the taproot will be hitting the bottom in a day or two. A larger cup will give you a week to get the seedling established before moving it to the hotter soil mix. You will be amazed at how quick the taproot on autos grow - easily a foot deep in the ground within a couple of weeks.

Be sure to check the labels carefully when buying your potting soil. My local Home Depot has time release fertilizers in just about everything, and that stuff can cause you a lot of problems because it's feeding the plant with every watering whether it needs it or not.

Well i went and picked up perlite to mix with both soils, as well as "just natural" organic potting soil, wish me luck!! Pics will be up ASAP!
