New Grower Ocean Forrest too strong for seedling?

simple little trick i've used and seems to work ok, if your soil mix is nute rich and maybe a little hot i place a tube in center of pot ( cardboard , pvc, whatever) and poor hot soil around it. then put peat and perlite or seedling soil inside tube to make a core of "safe soil" for seedling to be planted in and grow down its taproot. as it get bigger it will root out into hotter soil. just don't leave tube in there :) its just to make the core

This is what I would have done (or cup tier system) if I had stuck with FFOF instead of FFHF.

I mixed OF/HF 50/50 and layered HF on the top so the baby would stand a fighting chance. Then lay off any added food for WEEKS. Well, I toss in a little Big Bloom.......

Smashing Game Plan!"Bailers Booya"

I like ffof it works great for me. I even mix in bat guano then fert with earth juice a little epsom in water here and there, use rain water only. plants thrive.

Well i planted the seedling, washed out the perlite, used 'just organic' potting soil and put a teaspoon of ffof at the bottom half inch of the cup. Lemme know what you guys think ! Also those are carniverous plants next to it. Im nursing them back to good health after Lowes tortured them lol

I took your advice and made the bottom layer of the seedling cup a mix of ffof and organic potting soil.

I like to hollow a hole into my premier promix hp pots and fill it with coco. ItKs a sterile medium. I leave the peat mix dry and slowly start to water outwards and deeper to influence the plant to seek the nutes within the precharged mix. My first watering is ONLY a proven root accelerator, which i personally have and endorse, rhizotonic, b'cuz roots (growth stim), or GH rapidstart. The plant will explode it's way out of the seed starter and be able to handle the medium. But i don't think soil which is amended for vegetable flowering is appropriate for most autoflowers, except super-autos because the veg period is too short for vegetative guano type soils.
