mad props..my current auto shark grow might end up into a beast like that (fingers crossed). 3gal smartpot and I've counted at least 14 budsites with only the "old" Mars Hydro 300W

I had my mothers under a 3' T5 2 bulb for ever and the top half was OK to say the best. The rest of the plant was dead or close to it. I switched out for 2 300w old style, 1 for mothers and one for my breeding experiment and EVERYTHING loves them so far. I have tons of new growth from the bottom of the mothers that were dying slowly from lack of light. The only thing is that you have to have about 24" of head room over plants so there is no bleaching. But for $76~ each is TOTALLY worth it!

You don't have to even be that far away from the lights. My sweet skunk is at the start of flowering and like less than 10 inches away with no problems. Fans are your friends. Hehe

Every strain has a different tolerance, up to a point. 12-14" seems to be the average max, but I would suspect some bud/trich damage even then. just because you don't see bleaching doesn't mean its ok. Better to give up a couple inches

LOL just makes you think how amazing the sun is..we cant even mimic it indoors correctly LOL but LED does come close..If you have a problem on what to pick or if you should make the move..I dont know about cfl but LED is dialed in and you use 100% of the spectrum its putting out not like hps is like 60% or70 used for plant growth..I have both and I HATE my HPS lol only good for winter if you need your space heated IMO.
