Are plants grown using synthetics nutrients generally bigger with higher yields than those organically grown?

i thought i came across i thread on here saying that plants grown using synthetics usually yield more but the plants using organic nutrients usually have better aroma with a batter taste..

just curious about that...if it was the same strain would a perfectly dialed in plant grown using synthetics yield more than a perfectly dialed in organically grown plant? and would the organic plant would just most likely be a more clear smoke with better taste/aroma? :Sharing One:

What you said is pretty much true in general. Chems produce bigger buds but organics have better quality. if you get your organic growing dialed in and know your plants well you can achieve yields comparable to using chems though

I've researched this topic because some people tend to frown upon nonorganic growers, and it rubs me the wrong way because I grow using Canna Coco A&B, a mineral fertilizer.

As I understand it, nutrients in earth are 98% organic and 2% inorganic (mineral) , yet plants only uptake a tiny amount of organic molecules. The majority of nutrients taken up by the roots are converted by the micro-organisms in the soil into mineral nutrients in a process called mineralization.

Plants fed with mineral nutrients have easier access to NPK etc. meaning they can process more faster, which in turn grows bigger plants. As to the taste/terpene profile, I don't know, but I don't see how it would be affected negatively from inorganic nutrients.

If anything, indoor lighting would have a negative impact on the terps because they can't match the wavelengths that the sun produces.

"kudos" bro these are good questions and this thread is the perfect setting for a lively debate. Normally I would not throw out my opinion on this matter because it distracts from the threads people create.. so thanks for starting this up.

I read somewhere that the record for the highest yeilding plant was organic :dunno:

This doesn't suprise me, some pros can raise amazing microlife in their soils and create truly harmonious conditions for roots to thrive in. When I buy some land I will definitely get into TLO for its ease of use.
