can anyone tell me what is the correct ph to water autoflowers with,
and what is a good soil ph
and runoff
i would appreciate it, 2 gallon pots,

Soil is proper between 6.3 and 6.8 Autos ???? as i going on Somas schedule and going a Straight 6.0 from seed till the end imho i always have a 6.0 runoff over here. But in soil its anyways not recommeded to have a runoff/drain as it destroys the microorganisms in the soil.

but what is the proper phd water to water autoflowers with, is it between 5.9 and 6.2, and you said that soil should be between 6.3 and 6.8, please let me know what should the water ph be
thank you

Ideally you want the pH of your feeds and the pH of your run off to be about the same, in the 6.3 - 6.5 range. If you feed at 6.5 and your run off is low, then up the pH of your feed next time to compensate. Same if the run off is high, feed a little lower next time. If the difference between the two is very high you might have to take other measures, like adding additional dolomite lime, to help balance it. For more information on pH, check our Reference Links forum. Several good articles in there on pH.

I use city fluoridated water without Any clue of ph. Ph is more of a hydro issue. If u have a well amended soil Ph should be of little concern.

Sorry, but this is not good information, especially for a new grower just learning. Maintaining the proper pH can be critical to the success or failure of a grow. Just take a look at our Infirmary forum and you'll see how many of the issues addressed in there are pH related. Yes, a properly amended organic soil can be self regulating but most new growers aren't going that route. They are using off-the-shelf products that often have a starting pH that is out of the desirable range for growing autos.

get an accurate 8 soil probe.stick in pot.if it reads 5.9 then water or feed at ph 7.0. try to even it out so ur soil is round 6.5. I let my soil ph bounce from 6.2-6.8. that's how I do anyways.oh ya not a good idea to use water with fluorine either,or chlorine

Honestly why make things harder? It's called doing things right the first time. I have grown pot since the 90s and never had ph problems... dolomite lime is our friend.

U can use cheap miracle grow soil with success if it's limed enough.

I'm just saying people need to learn how to walk before they run. Research is a must when growing, you can't dig up dirt from your back yard or use cheap dirt with no amendments and hope u succeed. Chasing ph in soil is making more work for yourself and stressing out the plants. My results speak for themselves. I'm not just getting lucky for the past 20 years...

I made my own soil mix when I was 15, it was easy to learn what I needed to mix with a little bit of reading. If someone jumps into growing without any knowledge chasing ph in soil is going to be a big problem.

Instead of helping noobs get their ph right maybe we could educate them as to why they're ph is off so they can correct the problem for runs to come.

Ph manipulation is more advanced than noobs need to get into especially if they just bought cheap soil.

Ph in soil takes about a week to correct sometimes longer.
