Have bad root rot, that keeps coming back. Anyone have a link to a good tek for curing it?

The airstones keep clogging, and the get no air. Someone said to just run the hoses without the airstones. Might try that with straight water, stop re-circulating, and just change water every day, till it clears up. Trying to rinse off scum, and sprayed with H2O2, let sit a few minutes, and rinsed again.

Will post pictures later. Thinking I should write on article, on "what not to do".

Thanks!!

Never experienced root rot, didn't run dwc long enough to I guess - but I know over on icmag there's a a dude named richyrich who came up with a tea to get rid of root rot. There's also a 80+ page thread over there about it a long with everyones experience with richy's tea..

GOT SLIME?

Use Physan20 at 1mL per 10 gallons to sterilize and clean.
Apply EWC Tea at 2-3 cups per 10 gallons.
Tea made with Ancient Forest by GH is really good.
Add Great White, ZHO, Root Excelurator and Aquashield to your tea brew for a micro-herd army and say bye-bye slime. Add tea to rez every 3 days and fridge your tea for 10 days max.If it ever smells rank, toss it.

4 gallons of RO water or bubbled tap (for 24 hours) in a 5 gallon bucket. One air stone with a big air pump.

2-3 handfuls of earth worm castings or ancient forest
50mL liquid carbo load
1 scoop of ZHO
1 scoop of Great White
5mL Root Excelurator
50mL Aquashield

Bubble for 24-48 hours; no longer. Separate with cheese cloth and put in a container. Fridge for up to 10 days.

Thanks for the info!! Will check out later. Have to clean 2 more tonight. Rinsing with water, and using the sprayer on sink help a lot. Hoping the H2O2 spray for a few minutes before rinsing, did not burn roots. They were so filthy, I doubt it did more damage than good.

Thanks Again.
