Howdy, hope everyone is doing well. Has anyone used this light before? 800 w Roleadro is all I can find on the light. I'm going to be using this light real soon, i'll be growing 2 plant's under it in a 4x4 tent. Haven't had that much experience with it. The light is about 4 year's old, it was ether e-bay or amazon, the direction's didn't say shit. 800 W, at the wall ? Today they sell them with yellow COB'S, ? 4 year's is a long time . Anyway, any info would be appreciated----

No way that's 800 at the wall. Take all that shit with a bowl of salt....it's like car stereo amps at Walmart that say 1000w even though that's not at all what they are. Real amps use RMS power on their specs, not some fantasy number that they can hit for a split second in a lab with a perfect power supply. Everyone is trying to make a buck on the LED craze. Real COBs are made by Citizen, Bridgelux, Luminus and Cree, and Mean Well makes the best drivers. COBs are all about doing more with less. An 1812 or 1818 Citizen running at 52w is a monster light.

Just dug that light up off Amazon. There is nothing COB about that, it's a blurple light that is masquerading as a COB. Real COBs have micro LEDs the size of a pinhead grafted onto a matrix that is represented by the numbers. 1818s are an 18x18 grid with 324 identical pinheads packed tight acting as one. Like a shower head. When you use the dimming feature down to 10% or so (or a welding mask) you can see each one clearly. No blurple either, 3500k COBs are a very pleasing shade of daylight, quite natural.

Thank's Dr. Bubbles, I got those a long time ago, they do grow, but that's probably not the way to go. I used that light with a platinum-p-350 for my last grow. The p- 350 seemed to have just burned a lot of leave's, I thought the COB'S OUT PREFORMED the p-350? I just want something that will work good with little heat output. What do you think about Big Smo COB'S?

Autocobs from Big smo was my latest upgrade to already existing LEDs and at this point, I believe autocobs are the real deal, although it'll take multiples to really impress.
