Lighting Royal Queen/Strawberry Cough

Some Wednesday morning pics, this bloody Strawberry Cough is a temperamental hussy! She's showing signs of purple on the flower leaves, I think it's to do with the temps being on the cold side at night, I can't really do anything about it as the tent is in a closet and there is no way I'm putting an electric heater in there when it's closed....big fire risk-safety first!

They are both looking good though, getting frosty and they look happy no drooping or yellowing anywhere really. The SC is burnt but I can't do anything about that, the soil mix is what it is and tbh I didn't think it would get them this far so I'm lucky really. These plants won't be winning any awards lol but I look at it as a learning curve and what meds I do get in a months time will be 100% better quality than crappy street gear. I gave them a good water with bubbled rainwater/molasses/e.salts last night. It's been super easy so far, just watering once or twice a week, Keeping It Simple Stupid lol.

Hopefully the new mix I have cooking will be even easier, added another half cup of lime yesterday as per EOF's advice, threw in some mycorr, sprinkled some more seaweed and a handful of leaf compost for good measure. I'll test it's pH in two weeks to make sure it's on point.

Enough rambling here's some pics.

Cheers,

They look really beautiful Dazed man. Next grow you will have that soil mix just right and im looking forward to seeing it in action once its dialed in.

Thanks mate! I hope so, been looking at Herbie's today, figuring out what I want to order next.

Took them out the tent this morning and gave them both a good 2ltrs rainwater with a very mild concentration of a bloom tea I made. They needed it and I don't think the bottom of the pots have been getting enough water so I made sure there was at least 10% run off and did a quick pH check, 7.0 solution going in, 6.9 coming out so I guess its in the right area of 6.8. Got some shots in natural light without the flash or LED.

Here we are at day 28 of flower, they both took the water/tea yesterday very well. Looking great this morning and almost like they put on some weight overnight.

Should start putting some real weight now, fun times.

I'm sure I missed a lot and I do apologize for not reading everything but last I read I saw that Dazed had given up ( Probably from another thread) and now I see that you are still pushing strong!

Grow looks amazing and I wish you nothing but the best of luck!

Sunday eve update, day 30, a few pistils are turning amber on the Critical, the SC is one frosty momma, some sugar leaves are thick with trichs so I got the scope out to have a look and they are starting to turn milky :dunno:, I thought it was a bit early but hey ho it's happening. Off to buy a 60w tube heater tomorrow to help bring the temps up a bit.

Cheers.

Looking good mate, just ordered a tube heater this morning. Temps have really dropped this week

Try this recipe if you have similar components brother.

a gallon of water filtered

ALL wet stuffs mix separately( add 1/2 ounce of molasses,40 cc of kelp liquid,3/4 to a full ounce of bloom n kelp fish or just 1/2 ounce of regular 5-1-1 fish n let that bubble for an 15-20min or less) and make a bag of 2 TBspoons mushie compost a TBspoon of cow compost and 2 TBspoons of EWC.

add to that the rock dusts like 1-2 Teaspoons

2 teaspoons kelp meal

2 teaspoons Alfalfa meal

and 2 rounded Teaspoons of bokashi.

once your stuff is bubbling with wet stuffs added only sprinkle the Tbspoon or so of mycos over your stuff n let it work for 10 minutes then add your bag..and after its been brewing for a little bit like several hours add a small sprinkle of mycos with a litre of water to build it and a little more kelp liquid and if the temps are ok you should get a similar result as i do mine.but i make larger teas and build n thin them as they work.

kelp powder works well after you brew it similar to big bloom which id add to that 1.5 gallon of brewed mix something like 1 part plain filterd water with cal mag n any big bloom or kelp powder and the rest tea.take it from the source mixing it constantly n add to pot(s).. id be a little suprised if you didnt get any foam..you prolly need new stones..Ive always said the micro life will plug them up quick n hard if not kept clean.so increase your bubbles in the water.no less than two or three for a gallon if theyre smaller bubbles.lrger will be more a benefit to your plants than smaller shorter brewed teas.

the hoof n horns use a lil more sparringly since that product is like a blood meal and runs hot.hot teas dont bubble really much at all.that tea i gave ya just make sure you thin it with filtered water and yer big bloom and/or kelp powder of similar.a 1/2 teaspoon of added mycos wont be a terrible idea as long as the tea aint running hot.if it is thin it with an equal part of water a true 1:1 ratio. i do that ALL the time its not gonna take away from your tea bro.:Sharing One:

did that help at all or did i freshly stoned confuse you even further lol!!:Sharing One:
