Lighting Royal Queen/Strawberry Cough

Superb ,love and respect to you organic guys. Showing the way ,and I bet your produce is the one.[emoji6]

Thanks for all the comments guys much appreciated. "AFN smoke out"

First of all some pics, everything looking well. Showing slight signs of P&K def so I've made a tea style feed which isn't looking too active but all the same I added some bat guano 1-10-1, sulphate of potash, epsom salts, molasses and EWC. I'm just chasing my tail with this soil mix really, hopefully I can see out the next 3/4 weeks without a disaster or I'll be seriously gutted after 3 months of growing these out! SC is still showing burn and it's slowly making it's way up the plants main fan leaves, don't know what to do about it apart from hope it doesn't get too much worse, the buds all great, so frosty on the SC and the RQ is putting on weight now.

Added a tube heater which is working amazingly well, brought the temps up nicely and now I'm hitting 19c at pot level with lights out.

My new mix looks to be cooking well, but I've been thinking. I'm not sure if to scrap it, and just go for a basic Subcool mix. I have half the amendments and all I would need would be a bag of Allmix, bag of coco, some Rock dust (in place of Azomite) and some worm castings. All in about £50, at least then I'll know I'm good to go. This new mix feels a bit all over the place, and I noticed when looking at Sub's recipe, he uses bat guano and bonemeal, lot's of P but not much K. I left out the bone meal and added potash in this new mix and no Rock Dust, I used Seaweed Meal. I could always add some Bone Meal. I just don't want to be chasing my tail with burn/deficiencies again, might run some Master Kush next lol.

So any advice? Still got time to get the new stuff and let it cook before I start a new run, or just use what I've got and make it work?

Mix currently cooking

4gallon Lightmix
1gallon Allmix
1 cup Vermiculite
1 cup Dolomite lime
1.5 cup wormcasting
.5 cup Hoof Horn 13-0-0
.5 cup Bat Guano 1-10-1
.5 cup Sulphate Potash
.5 cup Seaweed Meal
.5 cup Epsom Salts

Quick pic update, girls looking better today, after some thinking and pondering I decided to do a mini flush, put 3 litres through them yesterday over the course of 4 hours, got quite a bit of run off, came to the conclusion I had some slight lockout most likely due to salinity. I'm probably paranoid (read-totally paranoid) but they don't seem to be putting as much weight on as I thought they would by now, being my first photoperiod grow it's guesswork and faith I suppose. I'm hoping they go ok, but if I only end up smoking sugar leaf, it's damn frosty sugar leaf lol. Will give them a few days and re-assess the situation.

Took some pics with only 2 modules and the flash to try get a bit more clarity with this crap phone camera.

Cheers.

Going to suck it up and admit I've learnt an extremely (if not super basic) important lesson here. Airpots are a completely different beast to the normal pots I was using and I have been screwing up royally when watering. Not enough fresh water to my root zone has def contributed to the issues I've experienced not only on this grow, but I'm starting to think past ones too. Apart from the slight lock-out I was experiencing the thing that had me worried was the smell coming from the tent. The plants didn't have the lush, dank smell we all love, in fact they didn't smell like cannabis at all. More a wet, damp, musky smell which made me check the plants daily for signs of mould but I could never see anything. Even when the soil was getting ready for water, still a strange earthy smell.....I'm sure this was due to stale stagnant water in the root zone. I just hadn't been giving them enough to ensure the old water was being replaced by the fresh oxygenated stuff. All the run off which comes out the side of the pot was fooling me. :slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps:

When I opened the tent just now, bam, it hit me, a sweet smell of dank strawberries. The plants have improved a lot overnight and seem happier, shinier (--is that a word?) and smell lovely. What a fool I now feel :dunno:.....

Heres some pics that cheered me up!

Buds looking good dazed....

I have a couple plants that need an extra pinch epsom salts with each watering or they get real cal-maggy real fast under LED.

looks like you have it whipped now.

Thanks bro, yeah I tend to give a little e.salts and some molasses every other watering, insurance policy lol!

And I'm convinced molasses helps with taste and stickiness!

Dude your pictures look great. Well dude im glad you have the problem sorted out now, its good that we are always learning and the AFN really helps with that too.
Hopefully no more problems will come your way and that is smooth sailing from here on in. Loving your pictures.

Cheers Grim buddy, thanks for checking in so often man, really appreciate the support you guys have given me. :Sharing One:

Watered today with some e.salts/molasses and top dressed with a little bat guano. They are definitely putting on weight now, I trimmed some of the lower popcorn stuff from the Critical to help with main colas, didn't touch the Strawberry Cough as advised by A4.

Nothing else much to report, decided to go with the Subcool recipe supersoil. Found a garden centre here selling off Biobizz Allmix for £5 a bag so grabbed a few of those and some rock dust. Just waiting on some coir and will get that cooking asap, wanted to go with a tried and tested mix and the results I've seen with his mix kill it.

Some pics!
