Always hard to tell whats what from pictures.. the spots you may have seen further back i think those are other but similar spots actually.. we have several spots with rock roofs.

I suppose some branches and some of those plants are more exposed to wind and rain then others too, that may account for a difference in looks. The nicest colas seems to be those that are fully tucked in under the rock roof.

next year broski, i want to grow loads of purple jems.. loads!!!
