Hey guys, i need some input here. Tomorrow i will be ordering a new carbon filter for my 4 x 8 tent going to replace it with a Phresh Filter to help kill the odor. My old carbon filter is shot. But i have another issue is, i started a small veg space, i don't think it warrants a full one inline fan with carbon filter but i want something that will mask the smell really well. Its not Overpowering like the ladies are in bud, I have used ONA before and that stuff goes QUICK!, i used up a 30 dollars can in less then a month. Any other suggestions?

Are you still using an inline fan for your veg space? You could throw that old filter on there. Depending on how many you have they won't get very smelly for a few weeks ya know. :D

Other than Ona, maybe just incense or a standard air freshener. You can get the little automated one that sprays out every 30 min or so for like 8 bucks at walmart. Set it up outside the veg area and it should work great for just vegging plants. My :2cents:

Yup, build a small carbon filter and slap it on a pc fan.

Just for the record ONA is not for odor elimination, it's to help mask smell if it leaks to another room. As in, if your grow room is in the basement and a tiny bit of smell is getting out, you open the ONA and set it in the living room corner when you have guest over.

thats a great link for someone starting out or on a budget , i suppose you could make it any size you want just need to use bigger cages or cups oh and bigger tights lol

I know a lot of people recommend Ozone, but I would steer clear, just as an FYI. I've seen some nasty reactions in my plants when dosing them with enough ozone to cover the smell (go figure, the stuff is like bleach). Also, there's some research indicating it's not great to breath high levels all the time. I use my ozone generator in the bathroom when I blow it up, but that's about it. I would try to hook up some carbon OR find a way to vent your exhaust somewhere it's not noticeable. If it's only for veg, you could send it out the dryer discharge to the roof and it would probably be fine without any filtration. If you're vegging photos, even the stinkiest strains don't really kick into gear until they go 12/12.
