Hey, I'm a total noob and made my first purchase a month ago but I'll share anyway.
I ended up buying with bitcoin from seedsman and it was actually pretty straight forward even though I didn't know what the fuck I was doing.
Besides the anonymity, the benefit is that seedsman gives you 25% off your order and includes a bunch (8 or so) of free seeds when you use bitcoin.

Shipping to the us was pretty fast (6 or 7 days to the East Coast).

Anyway, my 2 cents...

I received an email from Brad from Mephisto and was informed that they finally will be accepting Money Orders from the US Post Office for its US customers!!!!.

Just wanted to post and inform everyone.

Found this out the day after I sent cash! Hope it doesn’t get lost or stolen.

I didn’t know what Bitcoin was (really) before 6 months ago and had NO idea how to buy it or use it; but lots of seed banks offer an additional 25% off your first order paid with Bitcoin and 10-15% off all subsequent orders. So I figured it out! It was totally worth it. If you watch the price of Bitcoin you can actually make a little money at times. I did. I’m up about $100usd over the $500 total I’ve purchased and that doesn’t include the $125usd or so I’ve saved on orders. That’s pretty worth it in my book. I got lucky when I was buying and the price was shooting up. It’s corrected since then and is at a good point to buy right now. I think it’s going up so I threw another $250 into BTC and I’ll sit on it until I want more seeds. It’s just investing without much complexity.

The system is a little awkward feeling at first but it’s not hard and I really like it! I’m actually accepting bitcoin as a payment method from clients. Wish more people used it.

About 5 minutes ago, I received a mailing from True North Seeds in Ontario, Canada. I’m in California. I don’t think they take PayPal, but I paid with my credit card. I got the insured shipping for $30 which turned out to be a lifesaver because I did not receive the first mailing of my seed order. They remailed it because I bought the insurance.

Some people on here were saying True North had poor customer service but I didn’t find that. I’ve emailed them both with general questions and about my order and was answered within a business day.

I’ve also ordered from Growers Choice Seeds which is located in California, and paid with my card. It came within days because I’m in the same state. Their auto flowering seed selection is limited though.

........ not gonna go into specifics, but feedback behind the scenes from them has been the WORST, plus they have been bagging on AFN for a while now,... give them nothing, avoid like they have the frikkin' clap.... just trust me please!

@Jackson look in the Mephisto section and you'll see a thread there about this,... last i saw they wer working on getting CC payments figured out, but it requires a whole new build-out of the website to enable this I think,... I've not looked lately, maybe they have news about an ETA for the site to be ready.... If you are stateside though, they have a US based distributor so sending cash/insured is an option....
