Nice thread Eek, I was a drum&bass / jungle DJ but I'm retired now, mainly because these days any child and their grandmother is a DJ also I like more oldskool / soulful stuff that isn't very popular these days. Right now I got me a midi keyboard, (Novation impulse 49) audio interface and a couple of yamaha monitors, learning to produce electronic tunes.. Not any good at it yet, but I love making weird electronic synth sounds in ableton live when I'm stoned )

Herbie Hancock was all about the sounds. He was such a master at blending sounds, hip hop, and music, into music

Yea I know Herbie and rock it, what a classic gem reminds me of childhood. Pioneering sounds with Kraftwerk, and Giorgio Moroder, Klaus Schultze etc .. (donno if you heard about them) much respect for the classics. Such music was contraband here back in those days here when it was all communism and shit. "capitalist imperialist" music was banned
I'll look for something, that is not too revealing about myself (for security) I can post here maybe from my DJ'ing because as I sid I'm not yet any good at producing .. I mean it would be easy just to follow a few copy paste tutorials on youtube like everyone does this days, and make a tune, but I prefer to just get high and mess around with buttons maybe there still is something new to discover hehe.. I don't even take it very serious just having some relaxing fun when high (and annoying my girlfriend and everyone else hehe) if one day it will shape into something, good if not, then so be it.
Ok now I can't get rock it out of ,my head either lol

after being a reggae/latin/african/jazz & soul rnb and funk DJ from 1980-95 I started playing in a samba band and now am part of the largest samba band in the world with 29 separate bands in 14 countries and over 1000 members in europe africa, north and south america and the Caribbean. here we are playing Notting Hill Carnival in 2005 with only 75 drummers, nowadays we do NHC with 250 drummers,Led Zeppelins John Bonham' only used 2 bass drums, we have 180 with the remaining 70 or so being snares and the lead drum the repenique

Nice Drums. It is one of those things, you hear the drums. then you here them, then you here a BIG drum it gets so intense and it is like your whole body is beating like a drum. Reverberating with every beat.
