Lighting Small cab, Led? Need advice

dada, check out cidly aquabar for a small area grow. Im not sure the dimensions of your cab but they make 24 inch ones that would probably work well. You can build a frame using 2x2 lumber and attach them whatever distance apart you like. Id recommend having them 4 to 6 inches between lights and you can adjust light intensity easily enough by unplugging a few bars. They will do custom spec for no additional charge. I have some plants under these right now and they are doing well. I am using this LED pattern, repeating, 660red, 6500k white, 2700k white. I paid $30 each USD for the 24inch ones plus shipping this spring. I would recommend you use about 30w/sqft for flowering and about 15-20w/sqft for veg. I also got a few lights with a more red in them specifically for flowering, but I havent used them yet. Those are 660red, 660red, 450blue, 620red repeating. I have an apollo2 400 and I wouldnt suggest using it in a small area grow with limited vertical adjustment space, Too much light will stunt your plants and keep them VERY short. If you have any questions just give me a holler and Ill try to help.

hi mate,
an interesting option! but even the smaller one is bigger then my cabs dimensions (16″depth /20″width)..
i am not sure is it good to place vertically? 1 stick for each corner for example? it would be cool if they can customize the dimensions

it looks good for a small grow?

Id consider the mars reflector
Reflector LED Grow Light 48x3w
If it fits. You could also angle the aquabar strip lights so one end is in the top corner of the box and the other end would be down a ways few inches on the opposite side. Aquabar are kinda nice cuz they are passively cooled so you can put them basically way to the top of the box and there are no fans to fail. Could then just raise/lower your plant as needed from the lights. Assuming you will just grow one plant at a time in a small box like that... whatever you decide, good luck!

Thanks you for the concern. I too hope people take caution when working with electricity. 1 over-site could mean ultimate disaster. Burned plants are the least of my worries, I got a family behind these walls too.

It happens to be the molex cable provided for the vero 10. They are only driven a 350ma, and only 2 per series. I have 2 drivers powering them. The cables after the molex are a much thicker wire, and run to the drivers.

The exact molex I have is at, http://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/pico-ezmate/36328, the 6" version.DSCN0566[1].JPG
I would add though, that if it was not made for this unit, I would never go that small. Being rated for a job is one thing. Back yard mechanics are better left safe. My 3w have a thicker wire, but cam w/o a connector.

Thanks again. :)
