Hey guys,

After my Auto Mazar failed to launch I'm now setup to start a 2nd attempt at a 1st DWC grow. This time I popped a Vision Seeds Auto Super Skunk #1 and DNA Genetics 60 Day Wonder.

I'm following SB's guide to germination and DWC setup. I'll post some pics soon and now I'm superstitious like SB and won't take pics of germinated tap roots because the last time my DP AM failed to launch.

Now, I'm using Canna Clay Aqua Pebbles. Soaked them for 24hrs in 5.5ph water after washing them out real good. I've got the 2 buckets bubbling away with 1 inch of water above the netpot and setup my medium. I'll have some pics of my netpots before I put the rockwool in.

I've also soaked the rockwool overnight in some 500ml of 5.5ph water and 2ml of Voodoo Juice....or should I use Cannazym?

How does my medium level look before placing the rockwool, guys? Too high? Too low? Or just right?

There are bubbles popping among the hydroton.

I followed the guide and cut the ratio by half....500ml of ph water and 2ml of voodoo. Fingers crossed.

Maybe leave my old thread as a guide on what not to do? Will my rep go down?

I noticed my ph fluctuated up a bit with water touching the hydroton. And I soaked my hydroton for like a week before it went into some of the buckets. Only a couple of points in 24 hours and a drop of two of ph down brought it back. With your hydroton/water level as long as the rockwool itself isnt below the water level you should be good. Where did you get the autopots from? I looked everywhere and couldn't find any do they have the tube so you can see the water level?

Got the Autopots in the UK shipped to down under on eBay. They did a great job on my coco grow. Or do you mean my bubble buckets? Got my buckets from Modular Hydro, in the US. They are 3.5L buckets that I'm using for low yielders and for learning. They came without water level tubes but I have a couple General Hydroponic drip ring and water level tube kits that I'm going to retrofit these bucket with the water level tubes. I tried the drip rings and they didn't work out well for my Automazar.

It's been 1 day with the cracked beans in the rockwool and no sign of them popping out yet. I hope I didn't overdose them with voodoo juice, using half amounts instead of 25%. Hope I can mimic your success in germination!
