New Grower soil/CFL cabinet grow; 2 fem auto widow cheese

are ya certain your soil PH is down?ya take a measurment? ya that soil is rough, ive heard mixed things as per usual about them,so if I can help ill persoanlly never use their soil.but Id turn a cpl TBspoons of Dolomite Lime into your rings of your pots with a fork trying to avoid the roots as best ya can not too deep just a wee bit and keep the rings moist, not wet, just moist.thats a start.and your foliar sprays are only a short stop at a quick fix.you can try a lil kelp, but again.it'll look excellent for a bit and Id do a soil watrering of some kelp too in a high PH water if ya got it.but thats what id do if that was my problem and I was spraying n having ph issues. hope that helps a lil jenny.

hi, I have been following your grow. We have similar set ups. I have my seeds germinating, first grow. I hope my plants make it has far as yours have gotten. I am wondering what you do for odor control or if that is a issue for you?

Hi Guy!

Odor control…. Who'd of thought two little plants would be so smelly. Damn…! I tried a DIY carbon filter that was pretty much worthless. I broke down and bought a 4" inline fan with real carbon filter (sorry, don't know the brand) and some ducting.

Here are some pics:

The ducting comes into the tent through a pre made sleeve.

Ducting goes out to the fan and then up to the filter hanging from the closet rod behind the tent.

I had a power outage today (not sure how long), but thought I detected an "aroma" when I got home from work. Generally, though, I feel like it's performed really well. I highly recommend biting the bullet and getting a proper system. Fan/filter/etc. maybe $150. Peace of mind, priceless!

Good luck with your grow :goodluck::Sharing One:

Lol. I did the same thing. I just planted my three auto bluemystic seeds 48 hours ago ( nothing has happened yet). I have been setting up my grow closet for the last month. I “experimented”with 2 different dyi carbon filters and both were worthless. My thought is if any $ are to be spent it is on odor control and ventilation. I am waiting on my 6 inch fan and carbon filter to be delivered. I plan to run duct work into my attic and splice it into my dryer vent out the roof after the air has been through the filter. I live in Florida around a lot of nosey retirees. Hopefully this will be enough.

How loud is the 4-inch fan? It would be easier for me to hang fan and filter in my grow closet but if it is too loud I can put the fan in the attic and run duct into closet with filter, but it will be a major pain in the ass. My gf does not partake but is very supportiveof my “hobby,” but we do have guests a lot, including her parents and I need to be as stealth as possible.

Hey 1guy1plant I run a 4 in intake and a 6in outtake fan with a carbon filter in my bedroom it's a little noise but nothing to bad I sleep in the same room and you can't hear anything from the room unless you put your ear up to the door. Iv notice the longer the ducting the quiter it is. Hope that helps.

thanks showbiz, that does help. I have been worried because I am going to have to run a lot of duct behind the fan to reach my roof. I was worried about losing cfms. Maybe it will be better.

I don't think the 4" is any louder than a typical box fan. The noise (from vibration) is more conspicuous in the room below than it is in the bedroom.

I am definitely starting to have some stink again, though. Worrisome because I'm not even halfway through this grow. Curious about whether or not the cheese varieties are particularly fragrant. Going to try moving the filter inside the tent, but I can't imagine that's going to solve the problem permanently. Will keep you posted.

Thanks for following :Sharing One:Hope you got some sprouts :goodluck:

Haven't posted any pics of the girls in a while. Here they are on Day 37 (sorry they're sideways :dunno:):

Day 39!!! Halfway???

According to the few reviews I've found of the auto widow cheese variety, it should go from seed to harvest in 70 to 80 days. I know that those estimates can be on the faster side, but wondering if I could possibly be close to done in that timeframe? Can you tell from photos?

There's not much vertical growth at this point. The bushier one is ~15" tall, and the other is ~20". Estimates are between 60 and 120 cm. We're on the way low end of that.

Have to go out of town for Thanksgiving, and I'm worried about the deadline. Is there any way to tell where I might be with this grow at that point so that I can begin to make a plan?

Cheers, y'all :tiphat:
Jenny
