The Setup:
Growing in a cupboard which is not complete but is slowly getting there, it consists of two grow compartments side by side that each have a floor area of 420mm x 445mm and 900mm of usable height. (16.5in x 17.5in x 34.4in)
Each side is currently running a total of 144w of CFL's (6 x 24w), the lights are height adjustable from bottom to top of the cupboard.

Soil mix is:
75% potting mix (contains nutes)
25% perlite
with 2 tablespoons of Dolomite Lime per gallon added to the mix.
PH of the mix is at 6.5

The Plan:
4 x Sour 60
4 x Blue Streak
This will most likely be a full seed run, and my first seed run ever.
If I can I intend to cross one S60 female with a BS male and one BS female with a S60 male, the others will be S60xS60 and BSxBS
In the event that I only have one male then it will be S60 and BS x whatever male I have.
Once the male/s have served their purpose they will be culled and replaced with seedlings (if I have the room).
Note this is my first attempt at growing Autoflower plants.

12 March 2011

4 hour seed soak in 6.5PH water then into 33mmx33mm Jiffy pellets (4:30PM).

14 March 2011

3 x S60 up and 1 x BS up so far, the other S60 and 1 other BS look like they are about to pop through (Pic 1).
Jiffy pellets look wetter in the picture than they really are.

15 March 2011

4 x S60 up and 3 x BS up, the last BS is about to pop also (Pic 2).
All 8 will be in containers later today.

I have some S60's on the go right now as well. I'll be in to check updates. Cheers!

The pre ferted soil might give you a higher male ratio. Thought i'd let you know.

Thanks for the input Bailer :)

All 8 re-potted into 135x135x150mm pots with 2 litre capacity. Each has a 2 inch layer of seed raising mix below and around each plant; this may or may not help with the M/F ratio or nutrient burn. All 8 plants are currently in one side of the cupboard until they get a little larger.

All 8 up nicely now, not much else to report other than one BS seems to have round leaves at the moment. Will post new pictures in a few days (maybe tomorrow).
But while you wait you can marvel at my bonsai male photo from last year (2nd Sept 2010), I had no room for it so it stayed in the Jiffy pellet and got neglected a lot :)

Given a little plain water (6.5PH) today as they seem very dry and the pots are very light now.
Group shot below, the BS on the top left has very rounded leaves but the second set of leaves seem pointed at the ends. It’s a shame really because I wanted something different; I will do a close-up picture of it tomorrow.

23 March 2011

Had to water again today but given more than the first go a few days back, PH in was 6.5 and PH out was 6.2
PPM is at 1330 according to the runoff.
The PH and PPM is nearly identical for all 8 plants.
I am going to count the 15th as day 1, so today makes it day 9
