Lighting Spider Series LED COB

I wouldn't mind hearing, honest experience with "Grow Bright" or "Grow Star" "Spider Series COB(Chip-on-board) LED lights. They are very cheap in price. Some cheap LED's I've found to have "life time warranties" which even if you like your expensive LED's I bet those expensive LED companies don't have a life time warranty. The 90w looks great, for less than $100 US-dollars. 2 angled could create a more wide top canopy coverage, and give the plant plenty of light. They run actual watts about 50w. They have high PAR and umol. COB is also better than typical non-COB. Grow Bright Spider series also has a 800w which looks great, and is less than $150 US-dollars. I know the price seems hard to believe for what it says you get, but they have to pass all the certifications which cost 1000's of dollars, before they can be marketed, and sold to consumers, and if it works for awhile, with good results it's worth it. I believe all LED's with a spiderweb are made by these same LED makers whether Grow Bright, or Grow Star, it's the same company making the spider series COB LEDs

Man, I have a friend that is growing two plants under a 500 watt halogen work light. He spray-painted the light red on one side and blue on the other.


Find a light you can afford. Just ignore Viparspectra products.

@DoDopeFuckHope Right. I kind of want 1, or 2 smaller lights myself, either 2x 45w that are good, or 2x 75w - 90w even if gotten 1 at a time, and another later down the road. But I got a 3ft x 3ftx x 6ft tent and 400w Apollo horticulture for 300$, and I've seen some other odd brand LED packages for $150 for a 300w light, tent, and I think other things like a exhaust fan, maybe even carbon filter, and I was thinking, even if it's not great, that's a good deal for the other stuff. But I want to run 1x 400w apollo on 1 plant, and get good results, it's a bit expensive, like 20-30$ more money than running 2x smaller 75ws on 1 plant.

Just buy a single autocob or single Cree cob led. You can get them for around $150 and they will blow the doors off anything you mentioned so far. I have two of them in my tent. They work great. One llight can grow a 150 gram beast with ease if you have the right strain and environment.

Or buy strips/boards and get more efficiency and coverage for less money.

That might be where I go next. Maybe I'll have to have you make me up a set up someday, but right now I am invested in what I have for a few grows. I am intrigued by the efficiency and the customization abilities.

I was experimenting with what type of light before I knew about the strips. I have blurple, QB type Chinese copy, and then finally to cobs. I have them all runnning at the same time. Results are actually awesome with the slightly different spectrums.
Running Auto Night Queen now and with five plants I got what looks like four different phenotypes. It is actually really making my grows more interesting wondering how the different lights will make the plants react.
