New Grower Starter set: Area 51 led & think different

Day 39- 1tbl big bloom, 1 tsp tiger bloom
Day 41- water
day 43- 1 tbl GB, 2 tbl BB, 1 tsp TB

Day 44:

The plants must be in full blown flower because they are all Yellowing now. This sucks, I know it's all my from the late nute schedule, which I doubt they will fully recover.

Im going to followed Torcheds advice and do 2 nute days for every 1 water. They need to get caught up. They are smarter than water now.

Nice, a triple post..

Watch them for a bit. See if they are still hungry. Yours are around the same age as mine, but I am at 3 tbl atm. You can go heavier on the big bloom. The other two be careful with they run much hotter.

Really looking forward to see how these Area 51 lights turn out. Your girls look nice bro but hungry.

Exactly what I wanted to hear from my post, thanks mate.

And yes they are hungry, even more so after getting a taste of flower nutes. I can't wait to start over lol.. live n learn.

Is Area51's reasoning for all-white lighting discussed anywhere? Usually you see more red in so-called "full spectrum" lights. Or, more blue in veg-only models. Even Area51's "RW-" series are red and white.

There is a posting in the Fero subforum that mentions Area51 "going back to the drawing board" with regards to using cool-white LEDs. I read that a few weeks ago and had a vague idea Area51 is doing something new with white light. Now that you're using the XGS light, which is all white light, I'm curious if there's more discussion about Area51's design choice.

I'd also like to say I'm impressed with the way Area51 publishes not only the spectrum but the ratio of colors used. A couple big-name fellas keep this info quiet as if it's a secret. (It's strange because a competitor could disassmble the light and examine actual components used. It's nice that Area51 doesn't play that game.).

Don't give up on them. Try foliar feeding to expedite nutrient uptake.

I had one that suffered from deeply acidic soil. I didn't think I'd get much, but after 3 weeks of foliar feeding and desperate measures to raise soil ph, she's like a coiled spring waiting to take off. Buds are fattening like crazy. Now it almost looks like it should have looked when "cleanse" needs to be started. You wouldn't know it lost most of its leaves 2 weeks ago with very little bud development.

Yours might have stored growth potential (for lack of a better term) just waiting for nutrients. The worst that can happen is you'll learn something about remedial actions, how to read your plant, etc. and "start over" sooner if you push her too hard. Not a total loss. (That's how I approached mine and a few times felt unmotivated due to lack of improvement.).

I changed my tune around since last post, this grow isnt going too bad for my first. Middle of wk9 atm. They've been frosting for a while now. After some nuting they looked great, now at around week 8~9 I have inevitably found the nute burn threshold. Which is fine with me they still look good, fatty buds developing.

At the moment:
1 has yellowing & only a couple burn spots
1 has minimal spots good color
and the last is fairly burnt but still on track

Recap pics from wk 8~9

without the yellow:

worst of the burning:

trying to capture the yellowing in different light:

usually when I see yellow, I want to nute. But I think that may not be the case. Learning as I go.

Blackstrap molasses crossed my mind. But maybe not. who knows.

Day 45 3 tbl BB, 1 tsp TB
Day 47 water
Day 49 3 tbl BB, 1 tsp GB, 1/2 tbl TB <-------------where I started to get out of control
Day 51 water
Day 53 3 tbl BB, 1 tsp TB, new fox farm top soil layer <-------------where I continued to be out of control
Day 56 5am water
Day 57 Flush/cleanse ~2 gal water each
Day 59 water

Today is Day 60.

LOOKING GOOD!!!!

The pailing might be a Magnesium deficiency too, some molasses may help; some cal/mag or epsom salt might work quicker than moleasses. At week 9 though, you need to start thinking about when you are going to flush as that usually takes 7-10day of just water. If you add anything just make sure to account for flush time. Chemmy tasting buds suck.

Cal-mag is probably something I've needed all grow, I guess it's never too late. As for the nutrients, I concluded with a friend that I should just flush the rest of the way.

On the other hand, I'm using organic fox farm nutes: I thought organic didn't leave a chemical taste?

Not going to cut til maybe wk12, maybe late wk 11, or stagger it, not sure yet but I have some time to think. Stalling as much as possible

Organic shouldn't leave chemmy tastes, my bad still a good idea to flush :peace:

Got some cheap dolomite lime for next water. Thanks for the heads up torch, I have begun to think I just have deficiencys not nute burn. (unless someone can confirm)

Theory:
I had yellowing issues and leaf dying earlier in the grow, and my thoughts are deficiency has come around again with the plants flowering on full nutes. It needs more resources. Thoughts?

The spotting('burning') looks exactly like Calc def pictures I looked up, and if you say yellowing is Mag then it all makes sense.
