Dragon Meds The Dragon Tests - Pal

IDS, in your experience, how long after first signs of sex would vertical growth slow down? Im thinking about two weeks, but i dont have much experience

Pal, an idea to float for a future grow. Switch early but use half veg and half bloom nutes for one week.
Peace
:kusht:
About 2-3 weeks at most. And pal I'm going to have to try that I've never heard of switch nutes based off when sex shows. That's a good one but do you think there will be a difference since I use soil and you use hydro?

Soil and hydro wont make a difference bro, I believe Tang switches 5-7 days I could be mistaken! I've definitely seen it work regardless of medium/grow style :) Either way we'll see by what happens to this girl

Okay guys we're in the third week since showing roots, I've not been able to keep track of what specific day it is since I started in a different system then transferred her to a bucket and prolonged the first change then got food poisoning so it's all gone tits up! I also ran out of Rhizo and a delivery got "lost" so this girl only had rhizotonic for the first week and there is none in the current res..I'm not really seeing a difference above ground yet but the roots are a lot smaller than what I'm used to at this stage so who knows how she will turn out, aside from all that she looks okay so we'll just play it by ear for now but I'm not expecting a monster.

Hey guys, got a couple pics from this evening. I switched her over to bloom nutes today with a good dosage of cal/mag, PH 5.8 EC 1.0 (1.4 total). She seemed fairly content at 0.8 so I'm just testing the waters (no pun intended) to see how she takes it.

Just so I don't forget, yesterday (switch to bloom) was day 1 of week 4. I've made the switch 5-7 days after showing sex to test the theory, I'm still learning so constantly testing new methods even if they are just slight tweaks. Hope everyone's having a good day, I'm off to do some leaf tucking :) :peace:

Morning AFN, got a few pics of my MoonStone from today. For anyone that hasn't caught up this girl has been switched over to bloom nutes at the beginning of week 4, roughly 5-7 days after showing sex. My first MS didn't get flipped until week 6 so it will be interesting to see how she turns out.
Since she is the only girl in the tent I haven't raised the light at all so far as stretching isn't an issue. I started her off at about 30-35" away and she now sits at 25" away. Needless to say she is already taller than my first girl just not quite as bushy..yet. From what I have read switching to bloom this early shouldn't have a negative effect on her stretch period and she has started to average an inch every 24 hours these days, just waiting for the jump in growth now.

I do however have a question for anyone that wants to help. I have my second GN unit on standby ready to double the amount of light for flowering, when do you think I should add the extra light? I could add it today as technically she's on bloom nutes, however I wouldn't want to end up with smaller buds by adding the light too early if that makes sense? Any input on this would be great.

She has been quite a confusing girl to try and read so far, struggling to get her in the zone but it's good practise for me. She's currently on 1.0 EC (1.4 total) 5.8 PH, still looking hungry to me (I could be wrong) but refuses to be pushed past this point - could be that sensitivity to over feed you mentioned, Stone.

Just a few more pics from this morning, she didn't like being pushed EC wise so I've set her right back down to 0.6 (1.0 total) to see if it will stop the weird rusty spots. Looks like Cal def but there's plenty in the res and PH isn't an issue. The only thing I can think of is blemishes from over feed so we'll see if the low EC sorts the problem. I've included a pic so you see, kinda hard to see unless under the LED so forgive the image quality.

Alrighty, got a few more pics from this morning. I've been trying to find an EC that she's happy at and believe it or not i've had to take her all the way back down to 0.5 EC (0.9 total). Th same thing happened with my first girl of this strain but I originally thought it was a one off. Gonna have to make notes to start this girl off very low in the future.
Temps are kinda hard to stay on top of lately too but she seems okay, especially for a plant that's not had any root stim in the crucial stages of early growth. If for any reason she doesn't reach a substantial size I have plenty of beans to fill the gaps :)
