Ive thought the same bro, your not the only one, but i use "likes" to communicate to other members, if i like a post i most likely responded to it so just a head up guys if something bad happens its not that i "like" what happen but more look for a response.:Sharing One:

I do the same thing. Just to let other dudes know I've seen their post, or I've responded or whatever. It's like the internet equivalent of peeing on your mailbox. I got that from my dog. He says it means "Just letting you know I dropped by..."

I'm gunna flag down a mod and see if they can combine the threads. Lots of good karma here - I'd hate to see it go to waste.

To me it's just telling someone that you like the fact that they posted. The content of the post might be awful, bad news, but you're acknowledging the person for sharing.

Forgot to say, my version of karma is this.

1. We literally are all one, since we are all made of cosmic stuff.
2. If we hurt someone we are therfore hurting ourselves because we are they and they are we.

I don't like the greedy version of karma, if you do good things you get good things happening to you.

Gradolabs, please brush up on your philosophy history. If I can google it, then any one can. It's easy to seem like an intelligent penguin, just search for quotes from higher mortals and with a bit o luck one can sound half way intelligent. That's what I do. Oh bugger. I let the cat out of the bag!
