Having just reaped the fruits of a first Grow, Harvest, & Cure - and being a long time smoker and choker, I wanted to share what has been the most surprising revelation to me concerning Autoflowers.

How Smooth the Smoke Is !

What the hell is with commercial weed? I had no idea, not a clue, that weed could ever be so smooth . Are they drying the commercial stuff in convection ovens or what ? Talk about a world of difference. I love this. I love combustion! A lot of times though, I will cough so much I get a headache that ruins it for me. I learned so much from my first grow, much of it surprising - but the taste and ease of which this stuff sits in the lungs is nothing short of amazing to me.

Welcome to the world of self satisfaction. Growing herb is a great lesson in delayed gratification. It also tastes better, I believe, because we did it ourselves from seed to buds. Of course not all bud is smooth, some are a bit of a lung expander, is strain specific, and you can't do much about it. But at least you know what you are putting in your body now, and you can make your own health adjustments now that you "know" .

I recently did the Bob Marley tour in Jamaica and holy cow the weed is terrible. My tour guide assured me that "it's much stronger than the stuff you get back home" I had to try really hard to stifle my laugh. I really wanted to show the guy selling the weed some pictures of my homegrown. Somebody needs to get those poor Jamaicans some quality genetics. Lord knows they've got the perfect place to grow it.

I imagine there is incredible weed down there, just not that trickles down to the tours. They probably use the schwag for that endeavor...

They had bags and bags of buds on the stalk that looked like they might have been good with a proper dry and cure. I guess if you can still dupe tourists into buying a fat joint of schwag for $20 (myself included, I wanted a buzz dammit!) why change?

The whole situation was sketchy and rushed. They take you off of Bob's property to a little alley where a dude has a bunch of buds, pre-rolled joints, and bags of low grade hash. There are people standing all around you shoving stuff in your face trying to get you to buy theirs. He rattled off a bunch of strain names and I said I was very experienced and would like his strongest variety. He tried to sell me 3 joints (huge, at least) for $75. I said hell no so he came down to $60. Again, everything was pretty sketchy so I just wanted to get my joints and get the hell out of there. I paid the $60 and smoked every bit of the 3 monster joints. I was blazing two at once in Bob's mausoleum and bedroom. Aside from getting ripped off it was a great tour. The 3 hour bus ride through the mountains is freaking amazing.

On a kind of off topic but related point if anyone is on holiday in Egypt and looking for a smoke...if your in a contained complex you will find that there's always a couple of guys who do henna designs for the tourists speak to them....they can't get weed but the hash I've always managed to procure has been so light and fluffy and tastes beautiful
